Between Sept. 14-20, the Russian armed forces will conduct a major exercise, ZAPAD 2017. Employing forces from various Russian commands, the exercise will test the military's ability to conduct a combined arms offensive. That's exactly the kind of operation Russia would use to invade Europe.
While there's nothing new in the Russians carrying out a military exercise, this situation is different due to the scale and location of the forces involved. Russia claims under 10,000 personnel will be involved but as many as 100,000 Russian soldiers are actually expected to deploy. Their number will include armored and artillery units, and strike fighter aircraft. As interesting, instead of training in Russia, the forces will conduct their exercises in Belarus. That geographic choice is designed to send a specific message to NATO.
After all, bordering NATO member Poland, Belarus offers ZAPAD forces the means to rapidly strike into the heart of NATO. Joining that threat is the Russian fortress-oblast of Kaliningrad, where reservists have been called up...................

That would be kind of them.
[ You can put me in as Secretary of BLANK where if you want to kill a bureaucracy, just put me in charge and I will shutter it and move to the next! :)
If done correctly, that shouldn’t take too long. Whaddya gonna do in week two? ]
Backup press secretary!
Sounds fair.
...ummmm...yeaahhh...tell me again about the great logistics and supply lines that Russia has the resources to build that would make this “blitz” possible ... even with no Western opposition I suspect that their vehicles would be breaking down and spare parts in short supply before they got to the French border ...
I have wanted to use that on several different threads about this subject. :-)
My first thought was also boosted fission..or perhaps several smaller warheads set off at once.
If it was several smaller warheads and they were in the same "Zero Room" they would have to have been detonated at almost precisely the same time or they would not have remained intact long enough to create a super critical state. I'm not saying they couldn't have done it but it adds another layer of difficulty and expense. Triggering multiple Fire Sets to go off at the proper moment would be tricky.

Utterly stupid. There is not the slightest chance Russia intends to invade Europe except in the twisted minds of neocons and NATO fanboys.
And then there are Syria and Iran, too.
This bozo was BORN in 1986. He has zero military or life experience. His analysis is utterly stupid. This isn’t even close to an invasion force.
And yeah, Russia is about to seize Poland and Germany.
Then what?
Red Storm Rising
Well, they didn’t invade. I didn’t think they would either, but now the question is whether their forces leave Belarus. About that I have doubts.
There are no Muslims in Poland or the Baltics. If Russia is going to invade it is going to invade them.
LET THEM HAVE IT. Europe is dead to me, and in 20 years, will be dead PERIOD, thanks to Muslim loving globalist traitors the sheeple can’t stop electing.
And Trump owes them big time for making Hillary stay out of Wisconsin...
“The writing is on the wall for Europe with demographics now making it a Muslim continent within a few generations. Merkel foolishly accelerated that timeline by decades by importing millions more. Its now unavoidable.”
I have a device that could alter that equation. It’s called a bayonet.
Totally unacceptable... grammar.
It should read Russia possibly might be about to invade Europe.
Au contraire! The original sentence ("Russia might be about to invade Europe") is grammatically correct.
The alternative proposed by Leaning Right contains an unnecessary "possibly," but is otherwise acceptable.
Regards,
Aw Jeez, not Russia is going to conquer Europe again.
Meanwhile Europe welcomes more ISIS recruits.
Russia’s might about to possibly invade Europe.
Russia possibly might be about to invade Europe.

Russia possibly might MAYBE be about to invade Europe.
...actually, all Russia has to do is simply WAIT.
In a few years, Islamic-dominated Western Europe will be imposing even more demands on freedom-loving Eastern Europe, to the point of threatening to ‘enforce’ their demands, via military action (the EU is not far from that now, as it is).
With only one place to turn, guess who comes back to Eastern Europe - the one remaining Christian country with a military worth respecting (in Europe, at least) - Russia - but this time they’re invited in.
Don’t believe me - then just watch.
