President Trumps signature campaign promise, the building of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, will remain on the back burner, the president said Thursday morning.
The wall will come later, Trump told reporters as he prepared to depart for Florida. Were right now renovating large sections of wall, massive sections, making it brand new. Were doing a lot of renovations, were building four different samples of the wall to see which one were going to choose, and the wall is going to be built, it will be funded a little bit later.
Well, we want to get massive border security, and I think both Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer I think they agree with it. We met last night, as you know, Schumer, Pelosi and a whole group and I think were fairly close, but we have to get massive border security.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a statement Wednesday night that Trump had agreed to support DACA legislation without getting funding for the wall in return.
We agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, thats acceptable to both sides, they said.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders pushed back against that claim Wednesday night. While DACA and border security were both discussed, excluding the wall was certainly not agreed to, she said.
Trumps statements Thursday morning made clear, though, that amnesty supporters will get their wish far sooner than supporters of the wall will get theirs.
In a series of tweets Thursday morning, Trump defended his new support for amnesty.
Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? he asked. They have been in our country for many years through no fault of their own brought in by parents at young age. Plus BIG border security.
I wish Trump would have put active duty military along the entire length of our southern border in January.

You're assuming all sorts of things before a deal is made, let alone before the details come out.

You cannot fund one til you know which one you are buying. Standard DOD stuff.
So, yes, the wall will come later as soon as we know how we’re building it.
When he was on the campaign trail, constitutionally low-information Trump didn't seem to understand that POTUS is constitutionally "married" to Congress. He consequently got patriots' hopes too high by giving the wrong impression that MAGA was simply a matter of pen and phone like Obama's unconstitutional unilateral actions were.
But although Trump is accomplishing a LOT as president, it remains that unlike corrupt Congress letting lawless Obama get away with anything he wanted to, since the uniparty Congress wants to get rid of Trump his first two years in office are arguably for practice. That being said ...

Since corrupt Congress is the biggest part of the sewer (imo) that Trump wants to drain, it is actually up to us patriots to drain the sewer in the 2018 elections, patriots supporting Trump by electing as many new members of Congress as they can who will support Trump.
In the meanwhile, patriots need to make sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting candidates on the primary ballots.
Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal governments powers.
Patriots also need to make sure that candidates are knowledgeable of the Supreme Court's clarifications of the federal governments limited powers listed here.

Also, unlike incumbent members of Congress who wrongly remained silent while misguided state officials abridged the constitutionally enumerated rights of citizens during the lawless Obama Administration, patriots need to make sure that candidates on the 2018 primary ballots commit to the following.
Candidates need to commit to making and enforcing 14th Amendment-related laws to prosecute misguided state officials who use state powers to abridge constitutionally enumerated protections, 1st Amendment-protected religious expression and free speech for example, such actions prohibited by Section 1 of the 14th Amendment.
14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

President Trump can invite Pelosi and Schumer to dine at the WH with him then I do not think it’s too much to expect him to reach out to the people who got him elected.
He needs to clear up what his description of the wall is. We can not read his mind.
He needs to nip this in the bud before we start to lose trust in him.
