The entire Florida Peninsula and points north are poised to experience Hurricane Irma after the storm hugged Cuba's northern coastline. Thousands of Floridians who evacuated the Atlantic cost to Gulf Coast areas found their safe shelter under direct threat from Hurricane Irma as the forecast shifted W Friday night and Saturday. Hurricane Irma's prolonged interaction with Cuba diminished its strength to Category 3.
Irma is forecast to increase in strength as it crosses the FL Straits. The Florida Keys experienced strong outer bands while Irma grazed the N Cuba coastline.

The model tracks have moved from the east coast of FL to straight up the middle to the west coast of FL. Each path had one of my 3 brothers in the path. I hope it moves further west, but I hate that it hits anyone.
Yeah. That’s what I saw. Very difficult to determine true heading.
San Maarten destruction.
“Theres no `e after the `g in judgment.”
Actually, both are correct spellings. (At least they were when I was in Seminary in the ‘60s.) The “without-e” spelling is the preferred.
Indeed. About the only scenario that would scare me more, is being caught in a hurricane while at sea. I'm tough, but not that tough.
I cringe for those foolhardy souls who chose to ride out Irma in Key West. The're about to experience the unimaginable.
The eye is getting stronger and larger. PRAY.
You are very welcome- some things are worth preserving.
Ping to 1006 - wanna tell us again how this storm is gonna hit Mississippi? Are you big enough to eat your crow?
St. Martin (the French side of St. Maarten)
Looks like Key West is gonna get whacked.
Watching that for any length of time is totally mesmerizing.
Yep

Similar to what they predict for Jose’s path in general, but on a smaller eye only scale. Two of them in a row.

Blizzards can be very dangerous. The cold, the wind, the snow. You could get stranded if you’re out on the road. You could lose power in your home, no heat. Hurricanes can cause more loss of life and damage to infrastructure, though
I am there.
Right; that’s the annual one.
