Upstate’s own George Costanza will serve at least 28 months behind bars for claiming to be an architect and faking his way through construction projects across New York, authorities said Tuesday.
Newman was busted in April after a long probe that prosecutors dubbed Operation Vandelay Industries — a nod to a running “Seinfeld” bit.

The upstate suspect — whose name is Paul Newman — was slapped with three indictments that charge him with fraudulently filing architectural drawings for six of the projects on which he allegedly worked.
They include a development of 70-plus townhouses, two multi-story “senior living communities” and a 214-unit apartment complex.
Albany Director of Buildings and Regulatory Compliance Director Robert Magee said officials went back and found no problems with Newman’s work on a senior-living center after learning of his alleged fraud, which dates to at least 2010.

So he didn’t “Impersonate an architect” as his work is good.
What they are upset about is that he obtained his knowledge outside of the university system, and the system is designed to funnel professionals through the Marxist indoctrination complexes.
Were the system not undebatably corrupted it would be possible to obtain certification in any profession by challenging a battery of tests and practical examinations.

As a licensed professional myself, I’ll say that you are probably way off here. The details of the case against him suggest that he was either falsifying a signature (i.e., preparing the architectural plans himself and then signing someone else’s name on them), or using a phony architectural seal when stamping and filing the plans.
How can I be way off when I only posted from the articles?
