Illegal alien is the proper term.
All the other euphemisms are used to obscure the fact that these people broke into our country or overstayed a visitor visa.
They are citizens of other countries illegally in our country.
They are NOT undocumented, most have more documents than citizens, all fraudulent.
They are not immigrants, they did not apply to be immigrants.

Calling immigrants illegal aliens makes it very easy to see them differently for yourself. Yes it does. It helps us understand some are US citizens and some are not.
Some are legal citizens and some are illegal citizens. There is a different.

I don’t know. I call my daughter-in-law who is here legally and has a green card “Japanese” because that what she is. I don’t call her (and she doesn’t call herself) an American, because she isn’t.
