My daughter is in Miami in the Redlands. Her in-laws were there during Andrew and were fortunate to survive. Whenever it looks like a bad one is coming they head north. I’m sure they will be boarding up and heading north soon.

If the eye passes over much of the Dominican Republic or Cuba it could be weakened. Cuba is 735 miles long and if it tracked along half of it...
