North Korea openly threatens EMP attack for the first time, changing the game

The news Sunday morning that North Korea had launched what appeared to be its sixth nuclear test and most powerful one to date is troubling enough.
But a statement from the rogue regime took things to a whole new level. The North said it had tested an H-bomb that was “a multi-functional thermonuclear nuke with great destructive power which can be detonated at high altitudes for super-powerful EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack according to strategic goals.”
This is the first time it has publicly mentioned its interest and ability in an EMP attack, a devastating weapon that could have catastrophic consequences for North America, the West and their closer neighbours.
An EMP attack, as I detail in my new book Pulse Attack, is a nuclear detonation that occurs in the atmosphere and creates a waveform that can take down the electrical grid below.
In the worst case scenario, this wouldn’t just shut off the power for minutes or hours, but weeks or even months, due to serious damage to transformer stations and other integral elements of our power infrastructure.
This wouldn’t just mean we couldn’t turn on our laptops and televisions; it would shut down our telecommunications, transportation, water systems, our ability to get food to cities and much more.

Congress does nothing of value or worth to America...Ever. Period. They are there for the sole purpose of making themselves ridiculously wealthy by selling out...selling out you, me, the country, their positions. And that’s they ever do or ever will do. The only value they will ever hav is when their lifeless bodies are hanging from D.C. Lampposts when the people have finally tired of being raped by them. And that’s it.
You have outlined the situation with great insight. The Pig, like other world nut jobs, is suicidal. He will launch a strike against the U.S. as a sacrifice of his life to the world. This is the same mentality that causes a terrorist to set off a bomb vest or the Japanese pilot to be a kamikaze. We cannot pussy foot around with this nut job. Put him out of his misery. China needs to understand that Beijing and Shanghai will be held responsible for the actions of Kim.

We should have stopped trade with China by now. China could collapse NK in a month or two.US needs to get serious about this now.

With an EMP, electronics get fried when they are on or off. At least that is how I understand it.

By linking retaliation to any attack by North Korea to China (i.e. we retaliate against China as well as North Korea), we essentially turn the North Korean threat into a Chinese threat - and thus things become no different today or tomorrow than they were 1 year ago, 5 years ago, or 20 years ago. Linking North Korea and China in this way makes it no different than the mutually assured destruction situation we had with China since they acquired nuclear weapons. It essentially tells China - “If you don’t control your dog, and it bites us, we will kill it and you”. We should do exactly the same with Russia and Iran.

They are totally immune. They have bolt holes all over the world. Why do you think organizations like SPLC and the rest are sending their money overseas? They’ll be safe, cool/warm, fed and live in a modern society. We will be living mad max stone age. They will enjoy that.

I would be very surprised if we don’t have every square foot of North Korea mapped. We know the exact location of every bridge, every power station, every train depot, every tunnel entrance, every pumping station, etc. Without the use of nuclear weapons we could bring them to their knees with a first strike. We can un leash the dogs of war in one strike. Then we knock anything out of the sky that rises from any of their launch pads. Get it over in a hurry. No nuclear fallout to concern the Chinese or Russians. The only other option is to tell China to put the squeeze on North Korea or we will stop the import of any products from them. Their economy would collapse in a couple of months. I vote for door number two.
Kim does not subscribe to MAD Leaving him in control of missiles will be an imminent danger to the US regardless of how the Chinese play their part and soon we will have the same problem with the religious fanatics in Iran.
