Please don't plant rumors. Self-fulfilling prophecies.

Except for those in the disaster areas won’t be needing gas anyway since tens of thousands of their cars are underwater. I imagine they could make it 20 per gallon and it wouldn’t affect most of those folks.

I got stuck with almost no gas when there was a huge earthquake.
After that I said to myself I will always keep it at least half full.
That went by the wayside a long time ago.
I didn’t stick with it.
It’s probably a good idea.

So if they don’t NEED gas, then there isn’t a problem.

Gas Buddy does a pretty good job of tracking prices and trends and where you can get the cheapest fuel nearby.
Current trend is: Prices are RISING.
I paid $2.35 yesterday for Regular Unleaded at Kwik Trip. A half-tank cost me $20, so a full fill is back up to $40. Beats the $50 fill ups of a few years ago, but still. (Ford Escape, smallish SUV)
As with all things in life, EXPECT the best but PLAN for the worst!

Up six-cents/gallon since just yesterday!
Yeah, the gougers will be sure to screw us all and blame Harvey - whether that’s true or not!

CA will be just in time for their .14 per gallon tax hike next month! I imagine next month in CA gas will be about $3.15 a gallon! ☺☺☺

Had about 2-3 cars deep lines in Lewisville TX tonight, at a spot that usually isn’t very busy at all. Middle grade was $2.56, up roughly .20 to .25/gallon.

I guess the answer is to jack up prices to about $9.50 per gallon.....☺ lol.. >><< I saw a report that the Texas Attorney General will not put up with any price gouging.

Bought fuel for my car and my mower today in north central Texas. Only car at the gasoline store, paid 2.199. With at least 8 major refineries down for the next 1-3 weeks, it would not be a surprise to have some spot shortages in the short run.
But, futures prices of /RB were actually down today, so that implies the markets are thinking that the refineries will be restarted quicker and easier than some think.

DFW=Dallas - Fort Worth.
Took me awhile to figure that one out.

If prices get high enough, they’ll start trucking it in from Oklahoma or Big Spring.

You need pipelines, not trucks, to supply DFW. The problem in a nutshell...

Tried to top off today at the HEB in Lampasas on my way to OK. Every pump was out of service.

They will certainly run out of gas if everyone decides they need to “top off their tanks.”
