A mysterious series of apparently random killings in Kansas City, mostly committed in isolated spots along walking trails, came to an end when the killer deviated from his pattern with a brazen, execution-style shooting in broad daylight on a city street, according to Jackson County prosecutors.
The fifth and final killing came shortly after noon on Aug. 13, when 22-year-old Fredrick Demond Scott allegedly followed a man from a city bus, crept up behind him on the street and shot him in the head before turning and getting right back on a bus.
Like the other four victims Scott is either charged with killing or is suspected of killing, Steven Gibbons was a stranger but fit a specific profile: they were all white men between ages 54 and 67.
All five victims were shot. Four were shot in the head three in the back of the head. One was shot in the back.

“Happened in Mo.,”
Thank you for clarifying that. I wasn’t sure which state it was, not being totally familiar with either one. I did read the article, but didn’t see the state (MO) mentioned. :^)

Heads on swivels at all times. Right - and not just near WalMart.
Still, 2 of these men had dogs with them and that didn't help. Obviously, these were blitz attacks from behind with a gun but likely he was quite close.

This is assassination of white men. Period. Nothing else other. Specifically targeted, single shots to the head, all the hallmarks.Cold blooded murder doesn't get any more "premeditated" than that.

People who want the story published by other newspapers and news sites should report the story to those companies. They’ll publish almost anything that has a “hook” (usually a current, popular topic) and will get much attention. It’s how they get many readers, viewers and revenues from advertising.

A cousin of mine used to walk on that path before the killings started. What’s been going on here scares the crap out of me, that there are predators like that out and about.

Just murdering innocent white men walking their dogs. Nothing to see here. Black lives matter, white privileged ones do not.

Reminds me why I carry - though I had to carry in the trunk in Kansas.
I went through some fairly-desolate areas in Kansas very late at night. Absolutely no one around for miles. You might see a house every 5 miles or so in some places - less in others.
(yes I know this happened in Missouri)
