McCain have another wet start?

I think we need a new SecNav who’s more interested in having a combat-ready navy than accommodating transgender freaks...
I guess the affirmative action navy is working out well. Obama clearly put officers who had the right politics above the people with the right skills in place.
This is an outrageous disgrace! Not only does this demand an investigation as to the cause and remedy the citizens deserve an explanation.
We're starting to get into Carter-era idiocy here. I'll give the Secretary of the Navy a pass on this because he was just confirmed less than three weeks ago, but it might be a good time for Defense Secretary Mattis to update his resume.
Do our ships still have radar?
.........Mad Dog!...............you better get MAD about your Navy! It’s NOW your watch! Kick some butts over the fn moon!!!
40 or more years of NO ACCOUNTABILITY for ANYTHING is driving this.................uh, no PUN intended!!!!
Looks nowhere near as convoluted as the ACX Crystal's track...
Is it possible to have the same person/persons aboard the McCain AND the Fitzgerald? Officers were relieved of command I assume, how about others?
Sounds serious.
2nd major collision recently. Sounds suspicious.
Apparently the libs are already criticizing POTUS regarding his response to this incident. When his helicopter arrived at the White House, a reporter shouted out a question about the incident. Trump responded, grimly, “That’s too bad”. Clearly he will have more to say soon, but was not prepared to get into more detail at the time. But apparently the left, who hates our military and our national security, doesn’t feel his comment showed sufficient concern. Incredible. You can’t make this sh*t up.
It like the 2nd plane hitting a tower on 9-11-01.
WTF!!!
The Alnic MC is an oil/chemical tanker.
I didn’t readily find what the damage was to the tanker.
There is NO WAY that a Safety Stand down was not conducted after the first collision at sea.
I want to know if any intial recommendations were nade to procedures after the 1st one and if so what they were, were they fleet wide, were the causes if these collision related (same training issue, same bad Standard Operating Orders issue, have the merchant ships changed something in their procedures?
Or is this just a statisical anomoly?
What the F is going on?
Second incident in a couple of months under highly suspicious circumstances. Both ships were in the South China Sea exerting freedom of navigation earlier. After the Fitzgerald, the vigilance level was bound to be increased dramatically. It just seems inexplicable that CIC, OOD, JOOD, and watch stations could not detect and prevent this.
To me this indicates one of three scenarios:
1. Gross incompetence requiring heads to roll at the Admiral level.
2.Serious maintenance issues that were not properly addressed by the ship’s crew (see #1 above).
3. A weapon from a foreign source rendering navigation equipment inoperable or ineffective.
If the answer is #3 worry for your country and expect the Navy to cover it up and find the ship’s command structure responsible. After reading similar “enemy” weapons stories in the Fitzgerald case, I thought it was just tin foil hat stuff. After this one, I’m not so sure.
