The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over, Bannon said Friday, shortly after confirming his departure. We still have a huge movement, and we will make something of this Trump presidency. But that presidency is over. Itll be something else. And therell be all kinds of fights, and therell be good days and bad days, but that presidency is over.
Bannon says that he once confidently believed in the prospect of success for that version of the Trump presidency he now says is over. Asked what the turning point was, he says, Its the Republican establishment. The Republican establishment has no interest in Trumps success on this. Theyre not populists, theyre not nationalists, they had no interest in his program. Zero. It was a half-hearted attempt at Obamacare reform, it was no interest really on the infrastructure, theyll do a very standard Republican version of taxes.
What Trump ran on border wall, where is the funding for the border wall, one of his central tenets, where have they been? Have they rallied around the Perdue-Cotton immigration bill [legislation proposed by Republican Senators David Perdue and Tom Cotton that would revamp the system of legal immigration, favoring immigrants with education, skills and English proficiency. On what element of Trumps program, besides tax cuts which is going to be the standard marginal tax cut where have they rallied to Trumps cause? They havent.

I don’t care about form. I care about whether he is right. We’ll see, but it doesn’t look good. And he’s absolutely correct about the GOP. They are self-serving globalists who don’t care about America as a nation. They would have been much happier with Hillary as president so they could pretend opposition and have an excuse to do nothing.
You and me both.
This is the weekly standard. Come on guys. Eye on the ball.
“Trump has to pick his battles. Strange is not worth the fight, IMO”
Which is another reason to question why he didn’t just remain silent
Forget it, he’s on a roll
And guess who is best friends with Ivanka? Chelsea! And I also heard Huma is very close to Ivanka as well...

It’s true. It’s not good, either. Anyone close to both Chelsea and Huma is pretty low life with no scruples.
“Weekly Standard? Nuff said”.
You saying the Weekly Standard made this up?

I’m saying their intent is to depress support for POTUS. I’m not going buy the negative spin regarding Bannon’s quotes.
The Weekly Standard blows dead goats.

Of course they are against the President but Bannon said it and he is right. We don’t have to buy anything. The statement from Bannon speaks for itself.
“The entire current crop, with about 15 exceptions in BOTH houses, needs to be swept out.”
Do you think this can be a real goal?
IMO, the timing suggests that Bannon's "leak" may well have been made after there was good evidence or actual assurances that China successfully convinced NK to not act irresponsibly. If so, the leak was intended in part to calm the concerns of various observers. Ergo, there was no undermining by a subordinate.
The "bluster" was most likely phrased in such a way as to be unmistakably understood by potential adversaries after the translation. Bear in mind the speaker is from New York and facing some rough players.
As for stagecraft, both of the actors are quite skilled in that regard. Reportedly, Bannon was there longer than he had intended and had submitted his resume weeks ago; one could easily conclude the separation was mutually delayed so as to not be disruptive.
It should be clear in the coming weeks which of our two views is the more likely.
I think we can get a LOT.
Replace Flakey with Ward.
Replace StabenCow with Kid Rock.
Replace McCaskill with anyone.
Possible to pick up 3-4 other D seats.
Replace Heller with Tarkanian.
Replace Strange with Moore.
Replace Brown with Mandel.
Potentially we could see a turnover of 10-12 seats (not all D to R, but RINO/D with Trump conservatives) in the Senate.
In the House,
Replace Waters with Navarro
Elect Antonio Sabato, Jr.
With all 435 House seats up,I’m sure we could see a turnover of perhaps 30 or so. This would be huge. You flip out a total of 50-60 seats in the House & Senate and even the foot-draggers get the message.
We’ll see.
Andy Biggs. One of only 2 Reps to vote against the House HC bill cuz it “wasn’t a full repeal.”
Jim Jordan
Ghomert
Brat
Bannon thought Tom Cotton and David Perdue were reliable.
Well, that’s six. I’m sure people more familiar with their own reps who probably can give you 10 more names.
We have every reason to believe he is fully aware of that means of sorting out operational problems. When I referred to "playing" I was thinking of the two of them cooperating in a way that facilitates the roles each intends to serve in the near-term. (I.e., Trump is "locked in" while Bannon is clear to walk both sides of the street.)
One certainly needs to be careful with regarding Trump as a conservative or, perhaps, even concluding he would rather work with conservatives of the sort he has known. There was good reason to question whether he was even a middle of the road R prior to the election. But many voters clearly understood he was the better choice.
Good. Those foot-draggers need to become boot-quakers.
