President Trump has told senior aides that he has decided to remove Stephen K. Bannon, the embattled White House chief strategist who helped Mr. Trump win the 2016 election, according to two administration officials briefed on the discussion.
The president and senior White House officials were debating when and how to dismiss Mr. Bannon. The two administration officials cautioned that Mr. Trump is known to be averse to confrontation within his inner circle, and could decide to keep on Mr. Bannon for some time.
As of Friday morning, the two men were still discussing Mr. Bannons future, the officials said. A person close to Mr. Bannon insisted the parting of ways was his idea, and that he had submitted his resignation to the president on Aug. 7, to be announced at the start of this week, but it was delayed in the wake of the racial unrest in Charlottesville, Va.
Mr. Bannon had clashed for months with other senior West Wing advisers and members of the presidents family.
But the loss of Mr. Bannon, the right-wing nationalist who helped propel some of Mr. Trumps campaign promises into policy reality, raises the potential for the president to face criticism from the conservative news media base that supported him over the past year.

Trump has had those voices whispering in his ear for a long time. He has three years to deliver on some meaningful things in his agenda. Otherwise, he probably won’t even run for a second term ... because he’s never going to win without his base.
That there are and they are so juvenile. Then you have the snowflakes who predict every change means it’s the end. They are exhausting in their limited ability to see past today.
Rock on President Trump, I’m not going anywhere, it wasn’t Bannon’s name on the ballot or Kelly ann or miller.
I hope so. By whom and where?
Consider the source.
“Im sensing extreme joy from the doom and gloom FR crowd. I guess its finally over for Trump. No way will he get the nomination now.”
I’ve never been a part of the doom and gloom FR crowd, but I can tell you this. Bannon going is a real bummer and I’m upset about it; the New York moderates and establishment types have won.
Biggest mistake Trump has made was to bring family members on staff, as it’s too easy for them to be able to call the shots on specific issues and win because of their familial positions and influence. You can dump your friends, you can’t dump your relatives easily. Plus those RINO New Yorker types persuade Trump to bring into the WH more of their own ilk.
Trump is now saddled with mostly moderate GOP establishment types and even former Dems, surrounding him. General Kelly (along with McMaster who is Kelly’s buddy, and was working against Bannon in the background) was the main instigator here.
Kelly, whose politics no one really knows, but he acts like, sides with, and probably is a moderate at best, doesn’t like the freewheeling, independent and creative thinking Bannon. This is a big mistake, and I, having been virtually a zealot about Prez Trump from the very first day he announced, am very shaken now. This sucks big-time.
Axios..who clearly has or had some source at WH..says bannon may declare war from the outside on libs in WH...like Cohn..mcmaster....jared
The conscience of this administration is gone. I fear we are about to experience a Schwarzenegger redux on a national level. As soon as Arnold moved to Sacto he surrounded himself with lefties. God help us!
We’ll have to wait and see, but I don’t see this as a positive development. It almost seems as though Steve Bannon is being thrown under the bus as PR after saying politically incorrect (but truthful) things about Charlottesville.
obviously fabricated “news” until otherwise proven true
[But the loss of Mr. Bannon, the right-wing nationalist....]
The media are such proven liars. They have no problem spinning anything to make it sound as bad as it is.
Further, they’re just about as NWO as Jebby. That’s why I won’t shed a tear for any of them when they get what they want.
Adrian Rodgers (RIP) said it very well: “When the world gets what it wants, it won’t want what it gets”.
If this is true, than it is truly awful. it means Trump is abandoning Bannon with the intent of appeasing the leftist media, and at the same time connecting Bannon to “White Supremacist”. A ‘I sure got rid of that guy’, move. I want to vomit.
Vanity fair reporter said bannon friend said they are going to war against Dem WH
I was just going to give that comment a +1....
Bannon was the last one pushing the agenda.Steve Bannon at CPAC:Trump is finished. Hes surrounded by Dems and Rinos
Click on the hot link date to watch a short video that sums up Bannon's agenda. A very positive one about helping to have Trump's campaign promises fulfilled."If you think they're gonna give you your country back without a fight, you're sadly mistaken."

Oh and BTW if Bannon does go, Trump is NOT finished.
#MAGA!
He's going but he's not going...
The New York Times is utterly shameless.
Two unnamed sources?
>> He was a military guy, and now he’s a civilian employee <<
I think Gen. Kelly had retired before he was sworn in as SecHS, at which point he became a civilian employee. But I believe Gen. McMaster is still active duty military, albeit on detail to the WH.
>> Most obviously, that information is incorrect <<
Let’s be generous and just say that it was whistling past the graveyard.
Bannon gets ousted but Jared, Ivanka and McMaster remain. This is a cluster of epic proportion. The swamp is winning, yugely.
Where?
It comes fom the guy who was always posting what bannon told him
