The man accused of ramming his car into protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday seems to have already been found “guilty” by the media… but there may be more to the story than is being reported.

* * *

A video posted on Streamable reveals that the driver of the Challenger had slowed down and was apparently calm, until protesters hit his vehicle with a blunt object such as a baseball bat or large flag pole.

Furthermore, having driven into a crowd when you get attacked you font have the right to floor it in reverse and kill people. Let’s get real.

So, he has no right to try and remove himself from the situation, even if it costs him his life? Perhaps you should try to acquire a bit of realism, yourself.

Why was he driving toward those people to begin with?

There's a good possibility that he was driving through an unfamiliar area while being chased and harassed by people.

There are a number of video clips from Saturday showing leftist losers attacking motorists around Charlottesville simply for having out-of-state license plates on their cars.

Ten bucks says the prosecutor in this case is going to end up on his knees, begging the perpetrator to accept a plea deal for a public littering charge and a $25 fine ... just so the prosecutor doesn't have to go to trial in a case that he's unlikely to win at all.

If you reasonably believe your life is being threatened, you have every right to employ reasonable means to protect yourself. If that means driving your car through a mob of rioters threatening to kill you, if that’s what’s reasonable under the circumstances, then that’s what you’re allowed to do.

Note the people flying through the air before the car becomes visible. Note the people flying through the air and striking the car in front of him. Note the people being thrown to the ground.

Note: NO BRAKE LIGHTS.

The video is too short and too weak to be a game changer. Not sure why we should waste our time to defending a hater.

We need to stand back and not take the bait, let this workout in trial, do not post article like this to social media. The left is trying to bait and trigger people, do not fall for it.

The whole Charlottesville protest was organized to get the all haters to arrive in hope of somethings happens to create a new line of attacks against the President and Country. They want us to post weak articles like this to our social media outlets to promote anger.

Fortunately for all - except the dead woman - there were no black people killed.

Can you image the Ferguson Part II riots and lootings that would be going on now if a black person had been run over and killed??

Maybe at the next staged event; Antifa might manage to get a black person killed. That would suit their needs just perfectly.

Let’s all step back and be realistic. You don’t have a right to drive your car into the middle of a crowd at any speed. Any MV code will consider that reckless.

Except when it is a valid response to an imminent threat of death or significant bodily harm.

sorry guys you seem to forget this is a Lynch Mob .... it doesn’t matter whatever the guy did ..

he’s going to be guilty of whatever the mob wants

right now the media can make him guilty of the time traveling assassination Kennedy and Lincoln and throwing a quick trip to flying all the planes on 911 ...and everybody would agree he did it

you know how they say even paranoids do have enemies well even real pieces of shit still can get unfairly lynched..
don’t expect to expect any due process

its boils down to simple politics if it have been the other side driving into the other side then the Press would be justifying it as they already are

we see Communists and Nazis the same ...they don’t

Communists criminals acts are not morally as bad or equivalent to same Nazis criminal acts according to left

in fact to the left a communist criminal act is in fact always Justified against anybody

I didn’t know a schizophrenic(most of them heavily medicated) could get a drivers license. Sheesh it’s bad enough with people texting and driving.

Most likely the driver feared for his life as well he should. You have any idea how many whites are lynched by Africans on an annual basis?

So what happens when the driver skates on the murder charge as it is likely from all the video evidence of violence and his car being hit and the physical evidence which the car is shows that it was not intentional but rather self defense trying to flee the dangerous area.

Not likely he will get a fair trial, but I heard he has. Commenting lawyer and should not be he’d to show reasonable doubt with all the video

The victim is white, so his evidence of racial views is not relevant to the proceedings as the crowd “attacked” by his car was not obviviously black.

Just thinking of a possibility. I would ask for change of venue as the Charolettesville jury pool is tainted.

Gee, look at all the people standing around, watching

If he gunned it with intent to run over anarchists, then they would be running like hell, not standing there watching the assault against his vehicle

Let’s dispense with the nonsense that he rammed into the crowd with intent to kill. That’s anarchists’ fairy tale stuff

If he really intended to run people over, he could have started accelerating a lot sooner. He only started accelerating after the back of his car was hit.

He likely panicked when his car was struck. He probably didn’t know what it was being struck with an was nervous because he felt trapped in a mob.

That being said, panicking to that extent was unwarranted. And you don’t run people over. This guy was obviously not very bright.

As someone who remembers the events surrounding the infamous Bernhard Goetz case in New York City back in the 1980s -- and the legal issues that ultimately led to his acquittal on all charges except the gun possession charge -- I don't think that video clip says much that will support the prosecutor's case.

If anything, it exonerates him on any charges he faces resulting from the injuries he caused AFTER he started moving in reverse. Anyone running up behind a car that has already driven into a crowd, and who doesn't understand what it means when the brake light has been activated and then turns off and the reverse light illuminates, is an 'effing moron.
