As someone who remembers the events surrounding the infamous Bernhard Goetz case in New York City back in the 1980s -- and the legal issues that ultimately led to his acquittal on all charges except the gun possession charge -- I don't think that video clip says much that will support the prosecutor's case.

If anything, it exonerates him on any charges he faces resulting from the injuries he caused AFTER he started moving in reverse. Anyone running up behind a car that has already driven into a crowd, and who doesn't understand what it means when the brake light has been activated and then turns off and the reverse light illuminates, is an 'effing moron.

So after this:

People should not attempt to subdue the attacker?. The attacker is justified to continue the attack?

I agree with you. Gunning in reverse was reasonable. Accelerating ahead after being hit, could be mere negligence. Plus, if police do not identify the initial trouble-maker, Mr. Anarchist with a baseball bat, this wouldn’t be fair. Just check out the payroll of MoveOn.org.
