The man accused of ramming his car into protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday seems to have already been found guilty by the media but there may be more to the story than is being reported.

A video posted on Streamable reveals that the driver of the Challenger had slowed down and was apparently calm, until protesters hit his vehicle with a blunt object such as a baseball bat or large flag pole.

Poor assumption on my part. I hadn’t looked into her at all.
If you believe non-permitted protesters and rioters have the right to block public streets then it's no use arguing with you.
He has a right to his day in court, and it is possible his actions were those of self defense. Not enough facts are out there for anyone to determine one way or the other at this point.
I would be terrified of a crowd of those thugs stopping me; trying to do my best not to hit any of them but under no circumstances would I let them stop me. I would go as slow as possible to still be able to get through them but I would not stop. I watched what happened to Reginald Denny in a riot and it is implanted in my brain.
Never should people be allowed to shut off roadways for a protest. If someone has any legitimate reason to shut down a road the road needs to be closed to vehicle traffic. All the authorities that allow these thugs or anyone for that matter to block off a roadway whenever they want is to blame for this.
Antifa, BLM, and similar groups have proven to be violent in the past, no way would I allow them to stop me.
Definitely. He deserves his day in court ... and then he goes to prison.
My point is, why was HIS car selected for attack? The black lady’s car was not attacked. But the frames you referred me to clearly show his car was attacked after he at least tapped the brakes. And if the person swinging the flag “club” at his left rear actually IS the guy that was in front of the car a few frames previously it would seem to support the contention that he had at least slowed down, was attacked, and then accelerated forward. I just don’t think you can argue that he was under attack before anyone was hurt. Maybe I am just misunderstanding you but everything you seem to be pointing to exonerates Mr Fields.
Sorry if I offended you, Robroys Woman
My Definition of a hater is someone who hates another person for their religious belief, Political belief or race. So you are correct both sides were stuff with haters. It is Ok to disagree with the other person beliefs, just avoid getting caught up in the hate.
I am sure innocent people were there to protest the fact the statue was being removed but not there to hate. As soon as I saw or heard the Nazi or KKK symbols/chants I would have left. Just being there with a Trump sign, hat or shirt would give the media ammo to use against the President.
We just need to beware of psyop (Psychological Operations) that is being conducted against the American People.
“Downer said he could not appoint a public defender due to a conflict of interest someone linked to the public defender’s office was injured in the crash Saturday. “
They didn’t “refuse”, they had a conflict. Gotta say I’m surprised there hasn’t big some big guns stepping up to represent Field.
It’s not a bad assumption. That girl on the back of the car was clearly banged up, and I’ve seen a few internet postings from people who claimed she was the one who died.
That “flag pole” is a piece of metal pipe with a banner attached.
Look’s like he has a local defense attorney, Charles Weber. (Judge) Downer set August 25 as the date for the next bail hearing.

Watched the slow motion video you uploaded and think your analysis of the incident makes sense. Thanks for posting!
That's just my opinion. I do take it into the jury room with me, though.
So there is a right to run people over?
How - exactly how - is it “garbage”. Assault with a deadly weapon & attempted murder applies to both situations. So how exactly is it “garbage”?
Ask Reginal Denny.
I agree. Did he know protestors were blocking that street? He may have known there were protests in the area but possibly had no idea exactly where they were. He may have had no choice, so far it looks like the thugs set up in spots where they could attack people trying to leave the area.
The man deserves his day in court. I hope he gets a fair chance to present his side no matter what it is. At this point no one else knows.
With the previous violence these groups have done in the past and even that day, he would have been a fool not to be in fear of his life.
