Are there any good Nazis? Are there any good White supremicists? I don’t think so. This site has long prevented association with those types, for the simple reason that conservatism isn’t about those things.

Were there “fine people” in charlottesville? It is possible, because there ARE good people who just want to stop knocking down statues. But Charlottesville was really a Klan rally looking for validation. Anybody who was there for good purposes should have quickly realized they walked into the wrong place and left.

We rightly criticize the “peaceful BLM movement” for allowing racists and violent extremists free movement. We critizied the “peaceful student protests” that gave cover for Antifa and other violent actors.

In this case, the organizers pretty much invited the hate-filled, racist groups to show up and “unite” with them. (I’m still open to the idea that this “unite” group is really just a front to help attack conservatives by mislabelling us).

SO Trump was entirely correct to point out that both sides did violence, but was an idiot to try to argue that Nazis and Supremists were “fine people”.

The whole “car killed people” thing could be easily fought on it’s own, ONE person acting criminally doesn’t define a movement or a party, any more than the knife-murderer in Portland and the gunman in Alexandria defines Bernie Sanders supporters. But you can’t make that argument when Trump is being Trump, meaning being deliberately provocative and calling obviously hateful, vile people “fine”.

I don’t think for a moment that Trump would like ANY of those Nazis, or supremists, or racists . He wouldn’t put up with people calling for the death of jews. His statement really is just him trying to prove he can say what he wants because he’s Trump.

It would have been nice if he had grown up a bit once he got elected. Sorry, I know a lot of fellow freepers seem to really like him, but he’s causing a lot of damage and there’s only so many hits you can take before your lines collapse.

Whoa! I think that's the senators' argument.

Why are you attributing a statement to President Trump that he never said?

Go back and watch his press conference from start to finish. The point he made was 100% correct. Not everyone who showed up to protest the removal of Robert E. Lee's statue was a "Nazi" or a "Supremist" (whatever that is).

And they certainly weren't the ones who instigated the violence. President Trump pointed out (again, CORRECTLY) that the demonstration in the park by the same people the previous night went off without any violence at all.

You must be another one of those people who can not hear because you have your head up your ass. He divided out the “fine people” who were protesting statue removal from the Nazis and Supremacists.

There are many people of note on TV who protest statue removal and they certainly are not Nazis and Supremacists.

This event is being used as an excuse to rid the nation of its culture like the Confederate flag was when it was seen in a picture of the mass murderer.

And you sir are an idiot and a liar for trying to argue that he did.

You are running with the MSM talking points. You apparently think that anyone who thinks taking down war memorials is bad is a Nazi. The real Nazis were the ones who were hiding their faces, wearing helmets and beating old men and women with baseball bats.

Trump made me proud to have voted for him yesterday. If you think that makes me a bigot or a racist then say it to my face. I also am violently opposed to the liberal Taliban taking down memorials to Confederate Soldiers. I guess in your mind that makes me a Nazi or a bigot.

The real Nazis were the ones who came there to bash in the heads of those who came to support their southern heritage. And I suppose you think that any white male who says "Y'all" must be a white supremacist.

Just go away.

Trump was 100% correct! Do us a favor and leave FR if we violate your principles.

Trump sees the “thought funneling” going on, against traditional conservatives.

There is no tradition of conservative Americans broadly supporting the KKK. The KKK had to remain in hiding. They covered themselves in order to separate their identity from their detestable cruelty against blacks in mostly southern counties.

Update to today.

ANY, and I mean *any* whites who dare to criticize BLM or ANTIFA are being funneled into a label marked KKK, “Alt Right” and White Supremacy.

Conservative thought is being funneled into a box canyon.

You are being silenced.

You can not disagree with any radical black organizations of any stripe.

You can not disagree with their tactics. Lawlessness is called “civil rights”.

You are white and must be marginalized.

TRUMP is well aware of this fact. He is blowing the whistle, raising the trumpet, in a clarion call to wake the hell up, or you are going down to Totalitarian forces.

Should you elect to stay stupid, and you’re well on your way, you will get your wish, and see the UniParty will rather lose the R majorities in order to usher in impeachment.

At that fine point in history, you can kiss your own azz goodbye.

Well well well.

One of FR’s premier neverTrumpers slithers back with his words of “advice”.

Are there any good Nazis?

They were good enough to get the US to the moon.

I don't see anyone asking to tear down NASA, yet.
