One of FR’s premier neverTrumpers slithers back with his words of “advice”.
I actually was never a never-trumper. During the primaries I was hoping for a different outcome, but frankly I didn’t post much at all during the primaries or the general election, and after Trump was the nominee I knew however bad he was he’d be better than Hillary. And I hoped he’d figure out that the Presidency is bigger than one person.
But seriously, he’s not defending Conservatism. He’s rarely pushing any agenda of note. He’s almost always trying to defend himself, to build himself up. There are things that were essential like judges and reversing Obama’s regulations and pronouncements that are turning out fantastic, and that’s enough to be glad Hillary isn’t president, but in my opinion Trump is doing little to help the actual conservative cause.
