Walmarts chief executive issued a strong rebuke of President Trumps response to the protests that turned violent in Charlottesville, Va., saying the president missed a critical opportunity to help bring our country together.
The criticism came in a statement that the retailers chief executive, Doug McMillon, emailed to employees Monday evening, which was reviewed by The New York Times. The statement was later posted on a company website.
As we watched the events and the response from President Trump over the weekend, we too felt that he missed a critical opportunity to help bring our country together by unequivocally rejecting the appalling actions of white supremacists, he wrote.

Wal-Mart is pissed because fewer food stamps are being issued.
As far as I am concerned that company can shove it hard and deep along with Merck, UnderArmour, Intel and whatever Allied Manufacturing does.
Sick of them.
Don’t kid yourself. That’s what they want you to believe
Liberals can’t live with conservative $$$ That’s ALL we are good for in their sick minds
Don’t think that Target regrets its stupidity. It knows damn good and well the foolishness, its sacrificial lamb status. No one else is dumb enough to follow suit, doesn’t that tell you right there?

Another idiot. There is no law against being a white supremacists. It is not covered in civil or constitution law to not like someone based upon their race. I personally don’t like it, but I can only “blame” one of their practitioners for the laws they break, not what they think. And trying to blame a president for not blaming the societies and letting the law do it’s work, is a very immature and idiotic way of doing things. Besides, posting it on the company web site and allowing the NY Timers to use it, borders on the edge of political collusion and a covert attempt to take a cheap shot at the president, not make a point. So, Mr. McMillon, you’re either a political hack or an idiot.

So the whites were protesting the removal of a statue with a lawful permit and their actions were "appalling"?
Yet they were attacked by the left activists and he doesn't see a problem with that.
Well Walmart can consider me and my money gone (not that they will give a crap).
Not attending Walfart - check!

I was switching over to Walmart because I don’t like the Politicization of Amazon. I shouldn’t have bothered.
Doug McMillon has gone a step too far climbing on the politically correct bandwagon and attacking President Trump. POTUS speech was quite correct and decried all violence. Where was Doug McMillon when Antifa & BLM & Occupy Wall Street were violent. People were killed, people were injured but from Doug McMillon we heard crickets.
If you are going to embrace Left wing politics I’m history. I will write you off as one more unAmerican corporate entity and I believe the founder of Walmart would abhore Doug McMillon’s attack on Donald Trump for once more speaking the truth.
MAGA but without Walmart.
Thanks for the number...
The 21st. Century CEO is a gutless, spineless weasel.
Millenial women from Liberal colleges who run his marketing department tell him to jump, and he asks “How High?”
“JUST GOT MY COSTCO RENEWAL...KNOW WHERE I AM GOING...”
LOL You don’t know what you are doing. Costco is as far left as you get in retail.
30 checkouts, three open, with two people on line, and it takes 30 minutes to check out.
:)
I’m disappointed upon hearing this remark from the Walmart CEO. Trump condemned violence from both sides in very strong terms. What do they want him to do, slit his wrists to show he really means it? This makes me less likely to shop at Walmart.

Exactly. They probably even polled his statement. What a limp wristed you know what these brain dead corporate drones are.
Walmart Corp 479/273-4000 option # 4, explain leaving a message for Doug McMillion. I spoke with a very nice person.
