Walmart’s chief executive issued a strong rebuke of President Trump’s response to the protests that turned violent in Charlottesville, Va., saying the president “missed a critical opportunity to help bring our country together.”
The criticism came in a statement that the retailer’s chief executive, Doug McMillon, emailed to employees Monday evening, which was reviewed by The New York Times. The statement was later posted on a company website.
“As we watched the events and the response from President Trump over the weekend, we too felt that he missed a critical opportunity to help bring our country together by unequivocally rejecting the appalling actions of white supremacists,” he wrote.

Every comment by Trump has been to condemn the violence. What do they want, Trump to instead resign? Okay, I’m sure that’s what they want but hopefully the American people can see that he has spoken out. Hopefully, too, conservatives can rally and equally condemn the violence instead of those in the south, for example, wrapping themselves around the disgraced Confederate flag and hero worshipping statues. Trump doesn’t need this association or distraction that simply feeds the whole Trump is a racist meme.
McMillon, you’re an idiot. Trump has repeatedly rejected racism and called for unity. BTW, your stores are poorly run.
I wonder it it will be dangerous for a white, especially a white male with blondish hair, to enter a Walmart. I need some vitamins but for a coupla bucks savings, might as well go get them at Rite Aid.

Do these corporation chiefs understand what BLM and the antifasti groups are all about? Nationalization without compensation of their businesses. These chiefs and they families executed for crimes against the people (or at the very least sent to re-education camps for many years.
One would think Walmart could look at the stupid and costly practices of JC Penny and Target. And try not to make those kinds of mistakes.
But I guess not. Seems Walmart wants to alienate it’s base and drive away shoppers.
