UNION GROVE, Wis. Three Illinois men who were shot to death at point-blank range during a drag racing event in southeastern Wisconsin may have been targeted by a rival gang member but a lack of co-operation has stymied the investigation, sheriff's officials said Monday.
The three men were fatally shot as they stood near a concession area in the parking lot of the Great Lakes Dragaway near Union Grove about 7 p.m. Sunday, according to Kenosha County sheriff's officials.
Sheriff David Beth said authorities are still looking for the male gunman who first shot two of the three men, shot the third as he tried to get away around a tent and then returned and shot the two others a second time.

A hit at an eating spot. Shades of Al Capone.
Wisconsin? Seems unusual.

We all know Dindu Nuffin. Seems like he has a brother
Didn C. Nuffin.
No names.
No races, other than that they were at one.....................
What’s wrong in Wisconsin anyway? Gangs around here are always very cooperative after a massacre.
Wasn’t it a “music” performance rather than some kinda tranny thing????
I don’t know. The link doesn’t say much other than the families are NOT COOPERATING with detectives.............
Didn C. Nuffin.
And his cousin, Dono Nuffin
Now it doesn't seem quite so odd ...
...why we need borders, so to speak
For all of the Freepers extolling the virtues of “bikers” and wanting to “send them in” for event security, these dead and their killer are bikers. The people you folks are referencing are old men who ride motorcycles. Big difference.
Union Grove might be closer to Chicago than Milwaukee. It’s just over the border between Illinois and Wisconsin. Back when I cared about stuff like this, Union Grove advertised very heavily in the Chicago radio market. I think the tag line was always “Where the great ones run!!!!!!”
Close to Chicago
TOWN OF PARIS The three Illinois men assassinated in a triple homicide Sunday night at Great Lakes Dragaway were all members of a gang, Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth said in a Monday afternoon press conference.
The three victims were identified as David L. Watson, 30, of Oswego; Khalid R. Howard, 30, of Aurora; and Derek K. Edwards, 26, of North Aurora. They were shot at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
While it is not confirmed if the killings were gang related, evidence available thus far strongly indicates that it was, Beth said.
The fact that all three belonged to a gang, Beth explained, and they all seem to be quite well-known by gang officers in other locations where they come from leads me to believe this was gang related.
According to Beth, the shooter approached the three victims while they were going up to a food vendor and shot them at point-blank range. Edwards and Howard died on the scene, and Watson died while being transported to the hospital.
The suspect was believed to be a black man in his mid-20s wearing either a black hoodie or white t-shirt, with hair shaved on the sides of his head and grown out at the top. He was reportedly seen fleeing on foot through a crowd and may have left the Dragaway in a black vehicle, Beth said.
Family members of the victims were not cooperative at all with the entire investigation, Beth said.
The scene was processed until 4 a.m. on Monday. It took hours to clear the scene of the thousands of civilians who were attending the Larrys Funfest event, Beth said. He was unsure why the gunman chose Great Lakes Dragaway for the shooting.
I dont know if this is retaliation, I dont know if this is a family trouble, I really dont know, Beth said. The only thing Im positive of is the three people that are dead were involved with a gang in Illinois.
The shooting is under investigation by Kenosha, Milwaukee, Chicago and Aurora authorities in addition to the FBI, Beth confirmed.
They will be missed. LOL!
Since they were from Illinois shouldn’t they be added to Chicago’s count for the weekend?
Illinois ghetto scum went up there.
Two of the deceased.
Yes and no. That venue didnt actually have anything to do with the reason the “guests” were there, they just stopped in for the food. There was an Amish music festival near by that drew gansters from quite a distance and some of them wandered over to the track.
