WASHINGTON Attorney General Jeff Sessions said on Monday that the evil attack in Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend meets the legal definition of an act of domestic terrorism, an early declaration in an investigation after a car plowed into a crowd of protesters.
It does meet the definition of domestic terrorism in our statute, Mr. Sessions said on ABCs Good Morning America, referring to a fatal attack on Saturday when a vehicle drove into a crowd protesting white nationalists, killing one woman and injuring others. A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged by Virginia authorities with second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding and failing to stop at the scene of a crash that resulted in a death.
You can be sure we will charge and advance the investigation toward the most serious charges that can be brought because this is unequivocally an unacceptable evil attack, Mr. Sessions said, adding that terrorism and civil rights investigators were working on the case.
Mr. Sessions appeared on several morning news shows on Monday, condemning the violent demonstrations over the removal of a Confederate monument and defending President Trumps response.

Under 0bama, it would simply be “workplace violence.”
I wish you wouldn’t try to be so objective and reasonable, it makes other people look bad.

p.s Thanks, I enjoy your comments.
I’ve really tried to have some patience with AG Sessions but the more he acts, the more he appears to be a swamp creature.
I googled to see if I could find where AG Sessions condemned the shooting of Republicans and US Rep Steve Scalise, as domestic terrorism. It clearly was but I cannot find anywhere where he condemned this act of domestic terrorism.
Jeff Sessions might be a nice guy but he clearly shows his hypocrisy in this latest condemnation. He needs to go if he can’t perform his duties, per our Constitution and help rid DC of all this corruption.

With Rod Rosenstein as the Deputy Attorney General, Sessions has built in job security.
“Why is everyone on this thread upset with Jeff Sessions?”
Because he’s a beady-eyed deep-state rat bastard?
Trump caved to the depend-soiling hand-wringers in his administration that genuflect to the hysterical media. His first statements were just fine. The ‘defensive’ statements today opened the floodgates for continual smearing by the anti-American left.
The deep state are getting their money’s worth out of Sessions.
Every day, in every way, I hate this little coward just a bit more.
“You didnt list every symbol in the world”
You only listed one, the one leftist wanted listed.
What about ANTIFA and BLM Attorney General Sessions?
They showed up to the event with Baseball Bats, Led pipes, pepper spray, water balloons full of urine, feces and liquid that burns. They were attacking people.
How are they not considered Terrorist Attorney General Sessions?
Especially knowing the “victim” was ANTIFA.
Wow, that is open minded (sarc). How can Sessions know what really happened without a detailed investigation? Or is he now forming his opinions from CNN News now?
Think about that a second.. Eboni Williams says that Obama’s legacy will include him missing opportunities to speak out against BLM, but because DJT blamed all sides, she no longer can give him the benefit of the doubt on his racial allegiance.
The entire panel, including Kat Timpf (no surprise), and Navy SEAL Rob O’Neill agreed with her. In fact, O’Neill stated in his rebuttal that Eboni “won him over” in the argument!
I know many of you have already sworn off FOX News. This was it for me. After all, Hannity is really the only sane one left after even Tucker wavered on the reported possible Sessions firing. But more than that, this is truly the last days folks. The last days of free speech, the last days of sanity, the last days of the white male, the last days of freedom, and the last days of our grand republic.
When you have true hero’s like Rob O’Neill cowering from the PC police. perhaps to sell books...perhaps just to avoid being labeled a racist...
What do Republicans, even the most moderate among them, see as an end game here? Do these idiots believe that groups like ANTIFA or BLM will ever be quelled? Ever be satisfied? Hell no they won’t. If every conservative, every patriot, every true defender of the constitution were to disappear tomorrow; these groups would then go after the “moderate” democrats, then the “lesser leftists”, until finally they turn on themselves in a myriad of factions. We see this in the ideologies of Islamic terrorists.
There are diminishing ways to avoid this. Few of them peaceful. Years from now many will look back on this era as the last chance, the turning point, perhaps the end.
I’m sorry folks. It is what it is. There is no point in characterizing it as anything else.
You listed another. Between you and I, both have been listed. Good teamwork.
You would apply the same standard to members of the military? They shouldn’t have a say in what takes place in their local community?
“The Trump admin is wisely refusing to let the democrats hang that sign on them, and are speaking out strongly against the car attack and other violence. Trump people know that it was probably a false flag operation by left-wingers, but it will be very tough to get enough evidence to prove this in court. So, theyre doing the next best thing and running damage control tactics to remove the sign the left-wingers are trying to hang on them”.
Ha. I was thinking exactly the same thing, but I hope it’s not just wishful thinking.
“He recused himself from Hillary investigations in January”.
I have to believe Trump knew Sessions would not go after Hillary before nominating him. WTF was Trump thinking?
What a huge disappointment. I hope Trump fires his lame arse.
He was driving in such a manner that people were running to get out of his way and this was before that one protester swatted the car with what appears to be a bat. As far as I know, Field’s car was the only vehicle attacked that day. Why?
“You would apply the same standard to members of the military?”

Yes, I would. I’m talking about local elections.
Members of the military should cast absentee ballots for their local communities back home.
He wasn’t talking about the car guy, he said “we’re going after those people...that cause divisiveness in America...they are domestic terrorists,” obviously referring to a group of people, the alt-right, and not one guy in a car.
