WASHINGTON Attorney General Jeff Sessions said on Monday that the evil attack in Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend meets the legal definition of an act of domestic terrorism, an early declaration in an investigation after a car plowed into a crowd of protesters.
It does meet the definition of domestic terrorism in our statute, Mr. Sessions said on ABCs Good Morning America, referring to a fatal attack on Saturday when a vehicle drove into a crowd protesting white nationalists, killing one woman and injuring others. A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged by Virginia authorities with second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding and failing to stop at the scene of a crash that resulted in a death.
You can be sure we will charge and advance the investigation toward the most serious charges that can be brought because this is unequivocally an unacceptable evil attack, Mr. Sessions said, adding that terrorism and civil rights investigators were working on the case.
Mr. Sessions appeared on several morning news shows on Monday, condemning the violent demonstrations over the removal of a Confederate monument and defending President Trumps response.

“Including every symbol in the world would take a super duper long time.”
Let’s see how long it takes.
People carrying Nazi and Communist flags. Boy, that took forever!
You didn’t list every symbol in the world.
I heard that he was accosted and threaten earlier getting into his car and while leaving where he was parked (no video of this yet). Besides the fact a baseball bat slamming into a car could be misinterpreted for a gunshot (loud banging), the streets were lined with thugs carrying baseball bats, he had to see this.
Reports say police thought he was fleeing for his life, this certainly could be true. Not an act of terrorism.
It would be interesting if Sessions supervised a real objective investigation which shows the actual groups involved and those who came to protest and voice an opinion to those who came to PREVENT the protest and opinions being stressed. But, let’s face it as with all the so called pubbies who get in office they go the other to placate the media. It’s easy to predict where this investigation will go.
If he showed up there with the idea that he was going to run people down, he deserves whatever he gets. If it was an act of passion, maybe a little less. But if it is the kid was scared and running from rock throwers, Id maybe give him involuntary manslaughter.
Looking more like something in the middle to me. A road rage type deal. If he was going for a high body count that isn’t the route he would take.
Whatever..lol
That sounds like something a teenager would say. Grow up. “LOL”.

Me too.
Regarding the driver, certainly all of the evidence has not come out, but there is the possibility that he didn't view the crowd as a peaceful assembly of nuns but rather a violent mob with no escape but through the intersection blocked by the white car ahead. Backing up would have been a much better option, but that clearly didn't happen.
What is your point there?
Rush just closed with an interesting question...
How many of you have ever heard of “Unite the Right” before Charlottesville????
Why is everyone on this thread upset with Jeff Sessions?
Donald Trump gave a televised White House statement more than an hour ago, and Trump endorsed everything that Sessions is doing.
I read the first 125 Comments on this thread, and not one person even mentioned Trump’s statement.
Exactly why a few (lot) here were against the moniker from 9/11: Easy way for GOVT to suppress, trample and attempt to abolish Rights\Freedom\Liberty.
Course, Sleeping Sessions is going to go full retard on the cause. Nothing vs. D.C.\swamp, but someone under attack??
I do believe we are in agreement!
:)
I think you were stating the obvious, perhaps many of us aren’t used to that!

At least you are not forming an opinion based on information we don’t have. That is commendable.
I wish more people here would do that.
My comments are based on “If” such-and-such is true, then I think “this”.
I’ve learned with way too many examples that people smell blood in the water on a lot of stories before we know what actually went down. And it is virtually guaranteed that it will be weeks, if not longer, before we have a reasonable understanding of what happened here.
