Yes my mom is as sharp as a tack. She will likely make it to 100. Her whole side of the family routinely live to 90.

I wonder what the average age of death for men and women is now in this country vette6387 ~ 76.8 for men, 82 for women
At birth. I wonder what it is for someone who survived childhood?

Glenn’s guitar solo was on a 6-string bass he borrowed from Carol Kaye of the Wrecking Crew who was in the studio at the same time.

"Wichita Lineman" has always been my favorite GC song...and one of my fav songs of all time. I always took it as a plaintive love song to a long lost love - I could relate....
Jimmy Webb wrote amazing songs and Glenn had a way to propel them to an even higher level.
See my post #131 on the 6-string bass guitar he played for the solo.

It was a love song.
It was about the commitment made long ago.

How many road trips were made with us singing your songs as the miles went by?
RIP, GC.

My mother and Aunties would always play vinyl albums on Sunday afternoons when I was a kid and he was a mainstay...we’d all sing along to Rhinestone Cowboy, Witchita Lineman, Gentle on my Mind...this is London in the seventies btw!...
RIP Mr Campbell...your music fills me with happpy memories...
