'This Was Not Supposed To Happen’: Gore’s Sequel Comes In Dismal 15th At Box Office

Former Vice President Al Gore’s new film, “An Inconvenient Sequel”, came in a dismal 15th this weekend at U.S. theaters, according to Box Office Mojo. Gore’s defenders have been quick to blame Paramount Pictures for the dismal performance of Gore’s sequel. “Al Gore Gets Ripped Off Again,” screamed the headline of D.R. Tucker in Washington Monthly.View post “This was not supposed to happen,” Tucker wrote, adding, “he should have demanded a recount.”

“Sadly, the box-office under-performance of An Inconvenient Sequel will be seized upon by climate-change deniers as ‘proof’ that Americans don’t really care about this issue,” Tucker wrote.

The box office performance will disappoint Gore, who had urged his followers to pack movie theaters to send a message to “Trump and the other climate deniers.”

What were they expecting? ... A blockbuster to rival Spiderman or Wonder Woman?

He had no right to believe his film would rival Spiderman or Wonder Woman. Those movies are far more factual and believable.

People with obsessions do not only expect others to share them, they demand it.

That is possibly the most poignant thing ever said on FR.

It doesn’t really matter. HBO will run it for 3 years straight and all the idiots who are incapable of thinking for themselves who didn’t see it in the theater will get their brains zapped with this propaganda. I’m surprised they even released it to theaters in the first place.

Failure should be no surprise.

A trailer ran for the sequel back in May.

We thought it was a comedy short, and the whole theater laughed.

30,000 is still a surprisingly small number. Were it to be humans, we would call it a near-extinction event.

An inconvenient result at the box office.

No shit Sherlock. Because if it had come in 3rd or 4th it would have been seized upon by climate-change frauds as “proof” that Americans really care about this issue. I guess it means that is was a shit movie with no entertainment or intellectual value.

Gee Al you big hypocrite, perhaps sane people are sick and tired of having to pay to see political BS on the big screen. People want to be entertained, not be brainwashed with propaganda

That is true. And they must be much less densely populated, because they are not so social. But even so, any species that only has 30,000 members and lives in a relatively limited geographic range must always be at risk of a slight problem causing extinction. Mammoths and Cave Bears, for example, who had been around for quite a long time, and perished at the end of the last ice age.

I had to suffer through the preview for the POS propaganda before “Dunkirk”. Even the preview contained lies. He claimed the flooding of parts of NY from Sandy proved he was right. In the original movie, the prediction of NYC flooding was due to ice caps melting not a freak storm.

What will happen is that tens of millions of concerned “progressives” will illegally download it,watch it,and then attempt a violent overthrow of the fascist Trump regime.
