...producer Norman Lear, one of the honorees of the upcoming Kennedy Center Honors, said he will not attend the pre-awards reception hosted by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in protest of some of the president’s policies.
Lear said he will attend the award ceremony at the Kennedy Center on Dec. 3 but won’t go to the reception beforehand.

The late ‘70s were a lousy time for TV. Shows like ‘Maude’ ‘Mary Hartman’ and other laugh track driven, negative, liberal BS that Lear specialized in. He’s a real ****.

I was about 10. I remember my father cursing in Italian at the TV when M.A.S.H or All in the Family etc. came on.

people have the right to not participate. The president or the committee should;d exercise the right to withdraw the award. of others boycott cancel the awards or give them to great americans like the freedom award where each president pulls in meaningless celebrities and sports figures, and an occasional great american, because they get off on having them in the WH.
