Batten down the hatches.
Thanks in part to warmer waters in the southern Atlantic Ocean, experts are predicting a worse-than-usual hurricane season.

why bother? more propaganda to say the same things over and over again. not enough time in the day to read all the small print when the headline and snippet are usually enough.

Warmer waters in the southern Atlantic Ocean? I have never seen a hurricane in the Atlantic south of the equator. If such a storm ever existed, it probably went to Brazil.

When my son moved to Texas...I went to the almanac with all its stats. It's the easiest quick accurate source.
But alas....it doesn't predict the future....just tells us that it happened before and will likely happen again. Big whoop.....

I predict 14 storms where 4-7 will be bad. I live in FLA, same report every year around this time. As a mater of fact I dreamed of a big hurricane last night, that may be a real divination? 1st a heavily dark cloud then the wind and rain destruction. I took my family to a safe room, that doesn’t exist. You might say I’m a little worried that Charlie, again, may be coming to town.

The NWS no longer sticks to naming hurricanes. They’ve been naming every little tropical rainstorm that comes into FL, and are already up to Franklin. They have to do this to justify their paychecks when the US hasn’t had an active hurricane season since 2005.

While “official” hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30 the peak is from September 1 to October 31.

If they keep predicting it, some year - eventually - they’ll be correct.

Because if you had read the article you would have seen, “Though hurricane season lasts from June 1 to November 30, its peak comes during the late summer and fall.”

It seems colder air over the US has affected hurricanes the last few years. As a lifelong Ohioan, I know our hottest part of the year has been now since I was a boy many decades ago. Into the 100s was always the norm in southern Ohio.
It’s been between 60-84 the last 2 weeks. A week ago we had a morning temp of 54 out here at my place. No lie.

According to the non-glowBull Alarmist Colorado State, there is little change in the forecast for the last month, although, they have been predicting a somewhat more active season:

This isn't the usual liberal elite BS about ‘weather in a hundred years’... it's about water temperatures NOW... so it might be the truth...

I'm in Rochester NY and we've had the same type of weather.
