If I'm not mistaken this is an invasion into another branch of the government where the President has exclusive power to fire Mueller for whatever reason he wants and Congress has no constitutional authority to interfere (Judicial verses Congressional branch). Trump may invite trouble if he did but is well within his power to do so. Of course I stand to be corrected here.

Of course I can't see Trump firing Mueller of which I personally think Mueller should be terminated with extreme prejudice.

Even if they get as far as passing a bill, it would take a while...then Trump would veto it, then they would have to go back and get two thirds of both the House and Senate in order to override the veto...highly unlikely.

All this would take a while. In the meantime, Trump can fire Mueller before the law takes effect.

Trump should dismiss Mueller, who is putting together a totally biased team whose primary aim is to attack the president.

It probably isn’t constitutional, but maybe you noticed that, that doesn’t seem to matter any more. We apparently only have the appearance of free election, if the permanent state doesn’t agree with the people’s choice then there isn’t really anything we are allowed to do about it.

Exactly. Congress has no more power to tell the President who he can hire/fire than the President can name chairmen to congressional committees.

DJT must, before the GOP/Rat coup goes any further, fire Mueller tonight.

America will applaud.

True...leave it to the kabuki party to try and change the Constitution through ‘legislation’.

Congress needs a reeducation into the division of powers. There should be a quiz and suspension for failures.

Unless the Senators in question have already staged a coup and deposed President trump this extra legal action is going no where.

First, I am not sure that you can make a law retroactive.
Second, the term “bill of attainder” comes to mind.
Third, since the bill is aimed exclusively at President Trump how likely is it that he will sign it? Without the President’s signature or 2/3rds of the House and Senate voting to over ride a Presidential Veto it goes no where.

The way I read the electorate for the 2018 mid-terms is a large majority of them will vote against every Congressman and Senator who pushes this bill either in the primaries or the general election. And remember, the first and only goal for every one in the DC Swamp is to get re-elected; everything else doesn’t make the bottom of the page.
