I assume there is a good Deputy in place at DHS.
Hopefully a good move and definitely, regardless, an improvement over Reince Priebus. Now need to push Freedom Caucus to dump his best bud, Ryan from the Speakership. Trump should ask both House and Senate to appoint new leadership, remove from committees traitors like McCain.

Chief of Staff is not subject to any sort of Congressional oversight. This is purely a presidential prerogative.
I have never trusted Priebus. When it was announced he was to be the COS I couldn’t believe it. Kelly is a good choice for loyalty. His ability to do that particular job will be a heck of a challenge, but he’ll do it.
Trump tried to make amends with GOP establishment with Priebus and his reward, leaks and they approved Obamacares continuation. Trump is an independent president and the GOP and democrats are going to fight him tooth and nail for status quo.
Remember Mr. President the GOP in Washington is without honor and never to be trusted. Go Trump!

I agree with it for more than one reason. But it must be considered that Priebus was brought on to make legislative agenda work due to his party connections. He obviously has failed at that...especially given repeal replace.
It’s an effectiveness decision as much or more as anything else.
