Sorry if there is a thread; I didn't see it.
McCain, Collins, and Murkowski voted No.
Republicans spent 7 years promising this, and they couldn't get it done.
The Republicans don't like Trump all that much, but he is willing to fulfill their promise that they made. Meanwhile, McCain, the GOP hero, helped kill their promise.
I was conciliatory in my comments after McCain's diagnosis was announced. Recovery, retirement, all those platitudes.
However, if God decides to take that crazy old RINO tomorrow, who am I to complain?
It does annoy me greatly that McCain will almost certainly end up in Arlington Cemetery.
I just left my miserable senator from Az a voicemail in which I told him he Does NOT represent us here in Az and his usefulness is over and As a Christian I believe God is through with him...He ends his life as a failure to the people he was elected to serve. And I really tempered what I WANTED to say ....He knows what he did and he will spend his eternity regretting it....
Bring the bill up for a vote again when McCain’s replacement is seated.
They speculated on CNN that he stuck it to Trump, although Dana Bash adds that he loves being the “maverick”, and he’s very ill and knows this could be one of his last acts. This is all despite that he was opposed to Obamacare and ran on it.
These scumbags would not even vote for a single tiny conservative adjustment to Obamacare. What more do you need to know? The 3 prance around like royalty but they really are traitorous low lifes.
Yeah, very spiteful.
But being agitated and spiteful is not all that healthy for somebody with cancer (or anybody).
Ryan played his part in the charade, assuring the Senate that the House would go to conference if it passed. As usual, he does the right thing when it doesn’t matter. Trump even allowed him to join Wednesday’s Foxconn announcement and take some of the credit. The traitorous RINOs are playing our president. Only thing is this president doesn’t get played. He’s a counterpuncher and gives his opposition the chance to do the right thing. This is just the end of round 1. Trump will never quit.
Agreed. I’m so tired of hearing that he is an “American hero”. He is all about his power. I absolutely despise the man. What a despicable human being. He has lined his pockets while ignoring what the voters wanted.
IIRC, if he did it a certain way, he can re-introduce the bill later.
But this is a big "F*ck You" from the Swamp to the American people.
They think it's just about Trump.
Apparently they are going to learn the hard way.
Yep, I was watching the senate vote. The Senate is a body of people that are so full of themselves. They walk around like they are so important but are smug and are more concerned of decorum. They do not represent the people period. The Senate is broken. Okay, I was really holding back on what I wanted to say.
I’ve despised McCain since he earned the name Songbird from the North Vietnamese. Maybe even before that, for his stunt on the Forrestal. I don’t know what’s wrong with the people of Arizona who keep reelecting this POS.
The first insurance I had was in 1958. We bought insurance ourselves (no job benefits back then) and it was called hospitalization... it was to pay hospital bills if and when we were hospitalized. It was not expensive. Then we paid for any dr visit and prescription out of pocket. Dr visit was anywhere between $5 and $25. Prescriptions were around $5 to $10 or the dr would give out the meds for a small fee.
I remember when it became a job benefit and we thought how lucky to have it with the job. But that was the beginning of the downfall of affordable insurance, Government got involved and prices rose ... free access to inexpensive insurance became a thing of the past.
Hospital charges were out of reach..plus medicine was too expensive and regulated.. drs charges went up up... It didn’t happen overnight.. it took a few years of continually increasing prices and less and less freedoms/choices.. and today our healthcare has been devastated by regulations, high prices, and no choices.
If the skinny repeal bill is little different than what the President or the HHS Secretary can already do at this point regarding the mandates aspect, what stops them from moving on that for now?
Presuming Ayotte would’ve voted right. I’ll betcha a dollar that she’d have voted like Collins and Murkowski.
I don’t even think it was about money going to Alaska...You do realize that 90+% of Alaska is owned by the federal government...
Many citizens there are always just struggling to get by...The state does not take many refugees, etc. but the natives there seem to never be never better off from any federal funds...
I think the woman is a mad power-hungry b*tch who kowtowed to her donors and a “scratch my back” to Alaska governor...all about re-election and campaign coffers!
She has been in DC waaaay too long.
I think McCain is already dead. I have zero sympathy for him.
please do more to advertise these poetic justices.

They’re used to waiting out the dumb American people. Unfortunately they’re right, not a handful can remember in 4 or 5 years what these assholes did. And McCain should have taken the last elevator down by then so what does he care?
McCain and Murkowski are traitors.
Don’t give a s#+t about Americans.
