House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday slammed President Trump’s call to ban all transgender individuals from serving in the U.S. military and vowed to fight the president’s proposal.
“69 years ago, President Truman desegregated the US Military. This morning, @POTUS turned anti-#trans prejudice into policy,” Pelosi wrote on Twitter. “.@realDonaldTrump’s decision to ban transgender Americans from the military is a vile attack on brave individuals defending our country.”
Pelosi said it is “disgusting” to see members of the LGBT community “devalued for a hateful political agenda.”

Remember that gender confusion is a treatable mental disorder. It is plain stupid to water down the ability of our military in order to cater to people with mental disorders, is it not?

Gotta disagree on “ women” because the definition of “combat” is way beyond and diffuse in todays war scenarios
Some of the best and brightest minds in our society are female and they are needed to serve where situations require brain over brawn- many of which are “ combat roles”
But yah. Lets stop the PC about mental illness. Trans is mental illness. Serve as a lesbian - ok just do the job. Serve as a male gay. Ok just do the job. Serve as a chemically and surgically altered and artificially hormonally mind and body altered and sustained being? Um. No.
I think the policies Obama had put in place were to continue during the review. They’re working on the defense budget and maybe thought that starting the medical treatments for transgenders (that probably signed up just for taxpayer funded medical gender reassignment, not to defend said taxpayers) is not a wise use of funds, and does not improve the purpose of our military as Mattis bases his decisions on.

To not accept as “science” that a transgender person was born transgender, is not “hatred”.
Yes, it is a complex choice begun when the person was a child but it is choice involving a mentally disturbed obsession in a condition of identity dysphoria - rejection of the natural identity someone has. From the earliest point of recognition it should not have ever been entertained by the supervising adults. The earlier such acceptance was religiously with held and kind and considerate professional treatment given the child has a chance of overcoming the obsession.
Now society is being told - no, just entertain people’s obsessions in a state of identity dysphoria. THAT is actually not “kind” at all. It submits the person to the permanent battle a life with that obsession becomes, no matter what friends and family do.

Pardon me for my ignorance but I thought transgender was applied to the idiots who decided one day to be a different sex than is stated on their birth certificates. WHY is the news and the congress critters discussing them like they are run of the mill gays - using the LGBTQABCXYZXYZ moniker? I don’t see them the same. Are they? Mattis also seemed confused when he answered a question about it in his confirmation hearing - didn’t give a lot of thought to sex among consenting partners which to me didn’t encompass those who THOUGHT they were a different sex one day than the day before...
How many of these pukes are there in the military anyway? I heard figures tonight of around 6,000....
