Praise Jesus, a voice of sanity and righteousness in the White House.
God is not mocked, may he be glorified.

If they’ve served honorably, they’ll probably be allowed to finished their current contract, then be honorably discharged, because they won’t meet the then-current requirements to re-enlist or renew their contract. Then the VA will probably get stuck with their continuing care/transition.

Just a fine point: people who are cross dressers (Transvestites) have been able to serve if they didn’t tell anyone.
Transgenders (people attempting to actually switch their gender either bureaucratically, hormonally, or surgically) have not, to my knowledge (before the Obama administration) been allowed to be openly transgender and serve.

Holy moly!!
I didn’t think I’d ever hear a U.S. president say this.
General Ash Carter will be saddened.

Just as I get angry with the President, he does something totally rational and great for America!

“It’s always been “don’t ask, don’t tell.”
That’s the way it should remain. A person who is, say, gay, and wishes that fact to remain private, and does not allow it to interfere with his duties, shouldn’t be forced to reveal or lie about it on a questionnaire.

Of course not.To be so deeply disturbed and be allowed to serve would be such a threat to good order and discipline as to jeopardize the very security of the nation.
Let the Rat Party headquarters be staffed exclusively by these freaks if they wish...but the Armed Forces are off limits to such lunacy.

there have always been, they just have been under the radarHonestly, if some dude wants to sit at home on his couch wearing a wig and women's panties and call himself a pretty princess, I don't care. Leave it at home! There is no room for this in the military.
This is the first step towards redefining the U.S. military away from being the federal jobs program Obama turned it in to and once again becoming a fighting force.
MAGA!

There was a great thread on FR recently about a Federalist article about this, I suggest you read it...I assure you it will both resonate with you and nearly make the top of your head pop off:
The Federalist: New Army Training Tells Female Soldiers To Accept Naked Men In Their Showers
Great article.
If Phyllis Schlafly were alive today, she would have asked much the same questions you just did (in the way she single-handedly defeated the ERA back in the early Seventies)...commonsense questions, questions that politically cowed people are too afraid to ask.

but...but the pearl-clutchers were SURE that President Trump was going to let this stand? Seriously, President Trump needs to hold a press conference and say this: "The primary goal of our Armed Forces is to kill the enemy and destroy their property, NOT to be an all inclusive fraternity. The previous Administrations' fascination with turning the greatest military in History into a Social Experiment endangers the lives of not only those who serve but those whom they protect. There is no place for "feelings" in the US Military. In closing I would like to say may God have mercy on those who would seek to harm the citizens of our great country because WE WILL NOT".....
Then watch the heads explode.

I’m looking forward to the followup, and the flurry of lawsuits and “judges” opinions unconstitutionally taking control of the Executive’s duty to run the military.
What will be done with the members who have ‘come out’ thanks to Obama? Will they be allowed to stay in?

Washington got rid of homosexuals in the military real quick.
Trannies??....these are freaks as far as I'm concerned. They're egomaniacs and all about disruption.
To: kabar
If you haven't read it, see my post above at #151, kabar. It is a great article. They ask those questions, such as: If there is a combat environment, will shipments of hormones have to be sent, displacing morphine, antibiotics, or other things?
Dumb asses will insist "Oh, we can always send both" because they don't know enough history that in real combat, supplies of even anesthesia or bandages can run short due to units being surrounded, supply lines cut, etc.
It is enough to make you crazy to listen to them.

Did you see the picture of the stupid ISIS guy that put makeup and burka on to escape capture, but forgot about his beard being a clue that he wasn’t a woman?
