I don’t know who Durbin thinks he is, but the president is within his right to made any and all recess appointments he wishes during the recess.

This might explain why Trump felt a need to go through this whole WWE-style charade with Sessions. Get all of these Democrats to publicly support Sessions, so they have no credibility to criticize him when it becomes clear that the DOJ is involved in some serious matters involving prominent Democrats.
It seems like Barack Obama has been awfully quiet of late.

If I’m Durbin, and I’m serious about plotting ways to block a possible Trump recess appointment in August, why would I be talking about it to the press.
And if I’m Trump, and I’m serious about wanting to get a recess appointment through for a Sessions replacement in August, why would I be tweeting about how disappointed I was with Sessions every 5 minutes?
Things are not as they seem.

They don’t want Trump to be able to escape the witch hunt that was set up for him.

If Trump were going to recess appoint, he wouldn’t make it obvious...unless he wanted to get the adversaries to think he would.
All this Sessions stuff doesn’t make sense as it’s presented.
Either Sessions is part of the swamp (unlikely...unless he’s being forced under duress) or this is a feint to force swamp dwellers to defend Sessions or Trump did read Sessions wrong and he’s not going to go after the swamp....why?

If out more than 10 days they can hold pro forma sessions to prevent appointment. Dont know who has to agree but might be enough senators pissed about treatment of Sessions to do it

Sessions can easily straighten this mess out and undo some of the damage he has caused by the simple act of un-recusing himself so he can take control of the entire Justice Department which is what president Trump hired him to do.
His justification to un-recuse himself is that 9 months of investigations into the accusation of Russian collusion on the part of the president have shown the charges to be false and groundless.
No further explanatiion is necessary.
Do it and let the leftist pigs squeal.
