Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!

Problem is that the acting head of the FBI & the person in charge of the Hillary investigation, Andrew McCabe, got $700,000 from H for wife!

He meets a Russian Ambassadors in his office set up by the Obama administration, and then by happenstance, meets some Russian at some political event. Flimsy at best indeed.

And this bogus criticism of him is the center piece that gave him an excuse to recuse.

“Jeff Sessions Recuses Himself From Russia Inquiry”

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/02/us/politics/jeff-sessions-russia-trump-investigation-democrats.html

Sessions knows damn well he can appoint a Special Counsel to investigate Hillary and the rest of the DC cesspool to look at the evidence against them, and he would not be the deciding factor to prosecute.

“He is the finest elected official I have ever met or dealt with. He is a patriot who will do whatever is necessary to protect and defend this country and the Constitution.”

He is so Full of Integrity that it kept his decisions to Recuse himself from the President. He’s full of it, alright.

Not True. The Attorney General works For The President. He can have him investigate crop circles if he wanted.

What nonsense. So Trump can order the IRS to audit all liberal organizations? Or order the AG to launch an investigation against Schumer?

We have checks and balances in our government. The President is not a dictator with unlimited authority. There has to be some factual basis to start an investigation. Trump can stop all ongoing investigations, but lacks the authority to initiate one. If he had such power, why hasn't Trump ordered the investigations of the Clintons rather than castigating Sessions for not conducting them?

“There has to be some factual basis to start an investigation.”

Yeah, there is not a “Factual Basis” to investigate Clinton?
Loretta Lynch? Susan Rice? Comey?

I forgot. Where is the “Factual Basis” to investigate Trump & Russia?

You got me.

But there’s always the very small possibility of some ‘separation strategy’ and misdirection going on and they are working on it secretly.

Sessions is avoiding his duty for silly and dubious reasons. Because he spoke to the Russian Ambassador in his Senate office? He recused himself over that? Please.

No because the DOJ Ethics office recommended he do so. Did you forget that there was an ongoing FBI investigation that began in July 2016? Sessions campaigned with Trump. The rationale is that even the appearance of an impropriety is grounds to recuse one's self. Even Giuliani said, "Sessions "made the right decision under the rules of the Justice Department" in recusing himself from the investigation, Giuliani told CNN on Monday after landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

And there shouldn't even be an investigation against Trump, but there is that Special Counsel looking for crimes that are not there. It's a big mistake that was set in motion by Jeff Sessions.

This assumes that Sessions would not have appointed a Special Counsel after the Comey firing by Trump and the subsequent leaks that suggested a possible obstruction of justice by the President. Sessions and Rosenstein both recommended in writing the firing of Comey.

It could be Kabuki theater that Hillary is not being investigated...I doubt it. We all know it should happen, and Sessions knows better.

We wouldn't know if Hillary was being investigated or not assuming DOJ and the FBI adhere to existing policy.

Its really simple. Sessions accepted the appointment knowing full well if he informed the President of his impending “Recusal”, the President would have choose someone else.

Sessions did not know he was going to recuse himself until after he was confirmed. It was then that he met with the Ethics Office, which recommended recusal. No doubt that Sessions then found out about the ongoing FBI investigation against the Trump campaign that began in July 2016.

Trump doesn’t make the decision on whether to investigate the Clintons or not.

I don’t give a Rat’s ass if Session’s feelings are hurt. The Republic is hurt by his total disregard of Democrat crimes.

Sessions is “loyal” to the Rule of Law. He is actually doing Trump a favor by maintaining the integrity of the system.

Exactly. These establishment cucks think Trump supporters are deaf, dumb, blind and stupid. They are clueless as to who we are, what we know, and how *&%^$#@ P.O.d we are at them. They’ll find out in the 2018 midterms!

If they push their “coup” much further, then they may find out sooner - but it won’t be by way of the “ballot” box!

“Sessions did not know he was going to recuse himself until after he was confirmed”

Wrong again. He said he knew but checked with them. ‘Them” being the same DOJ that waged war against the Republicans for 8 years.

Trump thought Sessions would stand by him through thick and thin. Instead, Sessions chose his own self-preservation (recusal) and effectively left Trump hanging to defend himself against a special prosecutor.

Also if you look into Sessions' recent activities, he's been somewhat AWOL. I think this has been brewing for several weeks. Trump sent some signals to Sessions, but he didn't get the message. Nor do I believe he made contact with Trump to plead his case. That's probably why Trump started ratcheting up the tweets. He now knows that Sessions never had his back from the beginning.

He doesn’t want to end up an unexplained death, like so many threats to the Clintons have.

No because the DOJ Ethics office recommended he do so.

Stil his decision. Did he do any wrong? No he didn't, and I noted the circumstances above.

Sessions campaigned with Trump. The rationale is that even the appearance of an impropriety is grounds to recuse one's self.

He can still appoint a special counsel to do his job while he washes his hands and then he can get back on his "high horse".

Here's the bottom line. He works for the President at his pleasure. Somebody is going to get fired. Whether it is Sessions, Mueller, or that Deep State DAG. It's likely going to happen in the next few months.
