WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. investigators examining money laundering accusations against President Donald Trumps former campaign manager Paul Manafort hope to push him to cooperate with their probe into possible collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia, two sources with direct knowledge of the investigation said.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team is examining Manafort's financial and real estate records in New York as well as his involvement in Ukrainian politics, the officials said.

I’m not trying to entrap you at all. I’m just trying to get you to come out and express what you believe. May I point out that I have never resorted to name calling in any of my responses to you? I wonder why you feel it necessary to do so with me.
When you say that this investigation is not just about Trump, I suppose on one level that’s true, in the same way that Kenneth Starr’s investigation was not just about Whitewater. However, there is no reason for this investigation to take place except for accusations against Trump. I have very little concern about somebody like Manafort getting charged with some kind of crime unrelated to Trump. What is important is whether or not this leads to any formal charges against President Trump.
I think that even an idiot like me would assume that if you constantly post about some prosecutor who flipped somebody against a Mafia Don and how Manafort might likewise flip, that implies that you believe there is some danger to Donald Trump.
If you do not believe that, then this is your chance to simply come out and say so.
This is my last post in this ridiculous round robin.
Manafort can flip about anyone ..and decide to do it for any reason..like protecting his kids that Dustin Hoffman claims scammed him
He is a treasure trove of info. Prosecutors even mislead to get a valuable CI. Weissmann is an expert at it
If you cant understand this post then yeah...I think you are stupid
Fantastic. At least you actually posted an opinion!
Yes, you’re right. They pick and choose. It wouldn’t work with Sessions, for instance, but it certainly works for the likes of Graham.
I have believed the threats against families for a long time.
Ahh the USSR cum USA, show me the enemy of the D.C. elites and a special counsel will show you the crime.
The Democrats are beyond insane.
Quite treasonous and ridiculous.
Not that we didnt know that already.
Add demonically driven. It is so obvious, as you know, that it is evil against good.
They way they cover up Obama’s and Hillary’s crimes, it’s like the cult of the Antichrist.
There are twenty elephants in the Democrat room and they latch on to any fake news as “real”.
Insanity.
4TH AMENDMENT
Unreasonable searches and seizures are illegal.
People are secure in their papers and possessions.
Throw Mueller in prison.
Lemmee tink on it - I tink I saw her in a bar in Naples, back in ‘65 - down by da fleet landing. Yeah, dots where it was - she was sittin on the bar - ever now an den she would pitch a little kids football, all the way across the room - no hands - drove the squids crazeee!
Yes, it’s really insane and so unjust.
Craven cowardice is the best explanation for Sessions' weird behavior, in my opinion. Instead of going after the real criminals, and real crimes, he dropped his sword and shield before the battle was even joined.
In so doing, he left the President completely exposed to attack by his enemies, which they are now going about with zeal.
Sessions didn't even have the foresight to station a worthy guard in place before abandoning his post. Did the old goat actually believe the enemy would respectfully honor the genteel rules of the court, and keep their daggers sheathed when he walked away? Apparently so, which makes him totally unfit for the office of Attorney General.
What a mess. I suppose Trump could fire him during the August recess and appoint an interim AG. That seems to be the quickest way to get a pit bull in that office who will turn this disaster around.
Speaking of Jeb...
Sessions really needs to look into the Clinton Foundation. He must be scared to...

Agree 100%!
From the article:
Former Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara was investigating Manafort’s real estate dealings before he was fired by Trump in March, and Mueller has now assumed control of that investigation, one of the sources said.
Bharara was not available for comment on his investigation on Friday.
I thought this Preet guy was on Mueller’s list of investigators.
Jeb Bush is a jackass.
46 U.S. attorneys were asked to resign. Preet Bharara refused, so he was fired.
.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions has asked all 46 remaining Obama administration U.S. attorneys across the country to submit their resignations immediately.
As was the case in prior transitions, many of the United States attorneys nominated by the previous administration already have left the Department of Justice, agency spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores said in a statement. The Attorney General has now asked the remaining 46 presidentially appointed U.S. attorneys to tender their resignations in order to ensure a uniform transition.
Why not look at McCain? He went to Ukraine and rallied crowds protesting President Yanukovych, who was eventually overthrown.
I checked, and he was added to Mueller’s posse :(
Figures :(
Jeb Bush is a jackass.
LOL you have a higher opinion of him than I do!
