I'm not sure throwing Sessions under the bus is a good idea. In fact, I think it's a bad idea. The base likes him. Trump should wait at least until the midterms.

I understand why Session recused himself even though it was a mistake - he saw how Flynn got kicked to the curb and probably thought he was next.

If Sessions resigns the recusal goes with him.

Sessions would be fine if he appointed 10 pit bull assistants of a consevative bent to clean house at Justice and be the “bad cop”.

Rod RosenKrantz needs to go.

I’m the base and I hate Sessions.

He recused himself.

That gutless move put his President in jeopardy.

He’s doing nothing to help his President.

He hasn’t done sh_t to prosecute real crimes and criminals on the left.

He’s come up with an unconstitutional property seizure plan.

FUJS!!

I think the appointment of Sessions has turned out to be a mistake. He is past his prime and Trump needed a much younger and more aggressive lawyer who didn’t care about the democrat/communist media/entertainment/propaganda complex.

I don’t have a problem with consulting with Cruz. Trump needs to get good advice from different sources on how to proceed here.

I hear ya. Sessions was my Senator for many years. Never met him but seem to know how he ticks. I said at the beginning that Sessions would not be a pitbull for Trump and would be a cautious rules-based straight arrow as he has always been. I never thought he was the best fit for AG. Trump should have put him somewhere else. Sessions is a good man but if Trump is not happy with him he should fire him and move on. Trump acts so impotent on things like this. He is the POTUS.

“I’m not sure throwing Sessions under the bus is a good idea.”

Sessions threw Trump under the bus. The Justice Department is being run by Obama/Hillary when it comes to investigating the collusion hoax. You can guess the end result.

“The base likes him.”

I am / was part of that base but have been disenchanted with the revival / strengthening of the asset forfeiture law, FOIA requests still on being ignored for Judicial Watch / Tom Fitton, and finally, the marijuana debacle. I have NEVER in my life done any illegal substance but let the states take care of MJ. Also Sessions has assigned same prosecutors who are responsible for Bundy’s imprisonment to investigate the situation. For heaven’s sake!

All in all I am very disappointed in Sessions.

Also, Rod Rosenstein needs to go, I remember a portion of the FreshCamel hack of the encrypted chat with nefarious characters talking about getting rid of Trump. A line suggested RR (Rod Rosenstein was dirty and had placed Mueller in (to take down Trump).
I have tried to google the screenshot but can no longer find it. This was the FR post of the screenshot:

I am discouraged by several of Sessions ideas, and plans. The Asset Forfeiture increase is one of them. Sessions recusal is another.... that seemed to be an abandonment of the President at a crucial time.

>> he saw how Flynn got kicked to the curb and probably thought he was next.

So he capitulated to the Democrat Thug Party providing Trump no cover whatsoever? That was a major failure that opened the doors to Mueller’s sham investigation. And I was a major fan of Sessions — my Senator by proxy.

Upon what objective evidence do you make that last claim? Anti-Sessions comments run at least 80% on every thread concerning him on FR.

He was well liked by the base when He was in the Senate. Since becoming AG, he's done a miserable job, and has put Trump's presidency in danger, so no, the base isn't too keen on him at this point.

Sessions has earned whatever enmity he gets from the President.

Well, I’m part of “the base,” and I think Sessions should be gone today! It isn’t that he’s a bad guy, he’s just not up to the job. Too many years in the do nothing Senate where a good job has very different parameters. The idea of waiting out half of his first term to get an effective AG in place, would not bode well for Trump’s agenda.
And Cruz is also a Senator which would help get the confirmation process moving. The open question would be whom to replace Cruz with in Texas.

Sessions could rescind that recusal today and start an aggressive prosecution against Clinton organized crime activities. But I don’t think he has the right stuff.

The ball is in Sessions court. The President has given him fair warning. Sessions can either get with the program or slink away with his tail between his legs.

Balderdash. The base likes the President. The base knows what's important. Make no mistake: their loyalty lies with the President. And Sessions wasn't thrown under the bus. If he were, he'd already be gone. This President speaks his mind with incredible candor, and people had better get used to it.

Indeed, much of the base was similarly upset with AG Sessions' recusal—wherein he didn't even consult his own President beforehand! That was a yuge mistake...

Sessions wants to increase civil asset forfeture, govt stealing without due process. This member of the base wants to see him go.

I also like Sessions. He is a great patriot. He has fought the illegal immigration battle for a long time. But I don’t understand why he is not indicting Hillary and others to take the pressure off Trump.

What “base” likes him??? The GOPe, yes...The constitutionalists and people that want Justice for Seth Rich’s murder, Hillary’s felonies, Shultz, Lynch, Comey, Mc Cabe, Trapper, Brennan, etc the list goes on of all the elites that have commited perjury (like Martha Stewart) and walk free as a bird....I doubt it.

I was so wrong about Sessions. There was always a hope Sessions and Trump were setting a trap behind the scenes, but this wasn’t the case.

We need a pit bull for attorney general, not Sessions.

I still like Sessions. I was reading that one of the hold ups is getting several dozen Assistant AGs appointed, and this is needed to get the swamp draining into high gear.

There have been lots of arrests of Pedos and illegals are getting nailed. These Pedos are bound to be interconnected, and they will be squeezed to inform on the higher ups - so I do expect some indictments of significance this fall.

A bit too early for me to say Sessions is not doing anything. I do acknowledge that having an AG that doesn’t have to recuse himself from the Russia thing could be a positive thing though.
