I’m not sure but I think Kohl’s already does this.

Probably zero. The fact of the matter is you’ve been under surveillance every time you’ve gone into a retail outlet for the last 20+ years. The only thing they’re doing now is running that feed through a system to diagnose your mood and possibly send somebody over to help. Of course given how understaffed WalMart is by default they probably won’t actually send anybody over. Actually probably the biggest thing they’re looking for is the shifty paranoid look of a thief, the only “mood” they really care about. Really this is just not that big a deal, all the complaining is completely out sized to the event.

I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell anyone who believes Wat-Mart’s explanation of why they are doing this.

It’s kind of like a warehouse store but employee owned and they have the best prices. Their produce is the best I have seen. Located in the western states.

Walmart is developing facial recognition technology so it can identify the shoppers who appear irritated or just generally unhappy,

Yeah right. What they are really doing is spotting professional shoplifters, return fraud and other scam artists.

Am in the process of moving so went to Wally World to buy bubble wrap since theirs was the least expensive in our shopping area. First time I’ve been there in at least five years. Decided to find employee to direct me to its location since I was short of time so asked first Wal-Mart employee I saw. She waved her hand indicating to follow her and immediately headed to the cosmetic area where the bubble bath was located.

Turns out she DOES NOT speak English, only Spanish - but this is Texas so why should I expect anything else. Left immediately and wrote a letter to the store manager and their PR department in Arkansas. They won’t have to worry about tracking me because I won’t be going back.

Sure. Tell me they won’t establish a database of customers, to track their habits. No names, until the customer buys with a credit card, then names.

One more reason why I won’t go to Walmart.

she was just trying to get you to relax by taking a long hot bubble bath first before bringing you over to the bubble wrap
