A federal judge from Hawaii has denied an emergency motion to broaden the scope of exceptions to President Trump's executive order on travel Thursday evening. As NBC News reported, Hawaii and other challengers filed their final court papers on Wednesday, clearing the way for a ruling on the state's claim that the Trump administration wrongly excluded grandparents and other relatives from the list of close family members who can get visas to travel to the United State during the 90 days while the executive order is in force.

SCOTUS provided enough guidelines about who is included.
Any judge who tries to rule otherwise risks being defrocked and ignored by the Administration.
NO judge wants to have their ruling deemed “without the force of law.”
In October I will give better than even odds that ALL travel will be banned if the executive demands it. There may be some sort of notification period and a chance for people to go home if they wish or complete current travel plans but that will be the end of it.
What’s wrong, Hawaii? Tourism down a smidge?
No interest in getting bitch-slapped by the SCOTUS again?
Agreed.
Obama is running out of friendly judges in Hawaii who don’t want be outed for smoking crack and getting blowjobs from homos.
Well, that’s mighty white of him — arrogant SOB who thinks his personal beliefs supersede the POTUS.
I’m very surprised. The guy was an Obama buddy who didn’t care about being slapped down.
SCOTUS was WRONG!!! Those with close family ties deserve as much of not more scrutiny. Does San Bernadino ring any bells? Hint: the radicalized wife on a spousal visa??? I hope the administration doesn’t have their headup their arse during orals.
Guess they figure immigration is now under the umbrella of interstate commerce.... ; )
It’s an Achilles’ heel introduced by the constitution as soon as a body is guaranteed power “to decide cases under it.” Because who is going to say what is under it? Riiiiight. That same body.
Are you getting a clue? There is no way of cutting the Gordian knot without recourse to transcendent God. Otherwise a body of men will just do what it wants.
The decision is temporary. When the SCOTUS takes up the arguments, it should soundly fall to Trump’s favor.
It should also eliminate the court’s ridiculous caveat, imposed in their temporary order, and restore the right to the full “ban” rightfully belonging only to the Executive branch.
Sometimes it takes time and doesn’t work out right away, but President Trump ultimately is getting his way and that’s good for America!
I’m at work. I dont remember drinking before i came.
Yet this says a Hawaii judge.
See you guys later, i’m heading to psych.
Hawaii is the ass of the half-assed 9th Circuit
>Hawaii is the ass of the half-assed 9th Circuit
Hawaii needs to be given back to the Hawaiians.
In further news, President Trump, by executive order has just declared U.S. District Court Judge Derrick Watson of Hawaii a national pain in the arse subject to deportation to Somalia to live under sharia law!!!!. </s >
Hawaii needs to be given back to the Hawaiians.
After all we spent protecting them from the Japanese!!!!
Perhaps it is a power grab, but it seems like a temporary compromise to allow the President to do his job better until they have the actual hearings and official decision.
