Co-host of CNNs New Day Chris Cuomo deleted a tweet Wednesday in which he proposed revealing the identity of the Reddit user who posted the CNN wrestling video of President Donald Trump.
One Twitter user screen shot Cuomos tweet and criticized the co-host for trying to intimidate a teenager in order to suppress negative coverage of his home network.
Why did @ChrisCuomo delete this tweet? Possibly because they found out it was 15 year old kid they are trying to extort. #CNNBlackmail pic.twitter.com/JfLWOI6bo4 Mark M. (@mmontuori) July 5, 2017

That’s the great thing about the internet — once you delete something, it’s gone forever. [/s]
I really would like to know how CNN got the Reddit user’s info, and if any laws were broken in acquiring and/or disseminating the info.
I read somewhere else that that tweet/threat is against the law and could draw a law suit.
CNN is now like the cat in a room with 10 laser pointers all at once.
WINNING
Good point! I am sure it was probably illegal.
The_Donald over at Reddit is on fire right now :o)
what was bigoted about it?
Talk about a PR problem!!! Big network threatens a teenager, who might have grounds to sue them.
CNN really stepped in it this time.

Im surprised that Chris Cuomo has time to tweet..after all this is the same guy who said it was A OK for grown men to go into little girls bathrooms and whip out his pecker..this guy is a mega pervert
You’ve got civil issues, criminal issues, both state and federal. Reddit’s own privacy policy doesn’t allow sharing with Time Warner/Turner, not by my reading of it. And if the info was passed using a third party, then even more legal issues arise.
The same company owns CNN and reddit. So CNN has an in.
Typical, they figure if they hide reality it no longer exists. That’s what they’ve been doing for the past twenty years with news they don’t want us to hear, pretend it doesn’t exist unless they report it.
Posting at Reddit”
“Shit just got real, CNN. Here in the Atlanta airport. Not a single TV is playing CNN. #CNNBlackmail (i.redd.it)”
This is getting good!
Reminds me of the early days of watergate. And it appears that the law may have been broken, which makes it even more delicious.
I don’t believe that’s accurate. Reddit is owned by Conde Nast, which is owned by Advance Publications.
