That's a little close to home. I have friends just outside of Hamlet and go thru there a lot on my way to the hunt club over near Ellerbe. The area seems like it may have taken it in the face from NAFTA.
It's fairly annoying to hear that the actions of the ferals are now dictating what the city and citizens can do. Safety above all else? Hide in your house? How about open carry for the law-tolerant citizenry at these events? I know, I know. But what about our children?!? Can't say that I'm sure "cowering in place" till the problem metastasizes and Negan Locklear comes to said house for the children is the best plan of inaction, tho'.
But that's just me. d;^)

So much for standing up for INDEPENENCE and freedom.
In Texas, we’ve been celebrating for a week and a half. Every night, the crowd has moved to a new fireworks display since June 30. 24/7 the house shakes - BOOM BOOM BOOM! Sounds like a war zone. Private individuals put on just as grand displays as the city does. The one last night was directly across from us. Hopefully, tonight will be the last. The furbabies can’t take much more. And me neither.
