House Democrats are on a mission to educate the American people about a little-known power of the 25th Amendment — the ousting of the president.
Led by freshman Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, a group of growing Democratic co-signers has put forth a bill that could force President Donald Trump from office if he were found mentally or physically unfit.

It is just a fundraising ploy (pretending to oppose Trump in a meaningful way), and it has its roots in communism. In the early days, it was a means to remove dissent; the logic was that anyone who opposed their programs and goals must be crazy.

It’s stupid on their part. By the 25th Amendment, they need the VP and a majority of the cabinet OR the VP and the majority of a congressionally appointed committee to declare the potus unable to fulfill his duties. Pence would then take over. They would never get that far given Pence’s honor and the house and Senate being in Repub control.
If they did get that far, the potus can then declare himself well, and unless they can get VP, cabinet/committee, and 2/3 of each house of congress to agree, then the potus is restored.
They are again promoting a fraud.

Probably not since the Congress would be the ones approving Trumps removal from office to begin with and they would also have to vote on Pence’s appoint of Trump as VP not to mention his re ascension to the presidency.
This whole thing is purely the hapless Liberals attempting to play to their base in an attempt to keep them whipped up in a frenzy until the coming 2018 midterms.

Aren’t you tired of lazy “journalists” who write “Democratic Bill” and “Democratic co-signers,” as in this story. They’ve spent decades convincing readers that the dems are the “Democratic” leaders by simple addition of an -ic.
The bill excludes as members of the “Commission” ANYONE serving in the U.S. military. How telling is that?

I’m guessing that right about now, leftists are wishing they hadn’t abused Mike Pence and his family as he was trying to take them for a night at the theater a few months ago.
Tis is genuinely amazing. The mentally unfit are trying to create the very device that will force them out of office.
It’s amazing to me that the Democrats are still trying everything to get Trump removed, all because their party lost an election. I remember Hillary making statements about how she believed Trump would not take losing the election well, and the Media portrayed Republicans rioting, marching and trying to get Hillary removed. Sadly, all of that was projections as that is what they had planned if they lost. So, using this amendment to get Trump removed shows the depravity of the Democrat party. marches, riots, starting a brown shirt org (Antifa) and using the power of the media to incite rioting and hate hasn’t worked, so now “Lets call him crazy and create a bill to removed him”. They already know the Russian narrative is dead as is the impeachment narrative
I’m sure as soon as President Trump signs the Bill into law, the commission can get right to work.
Who needs pushback when the bill is DOA? It will never go anywhere. It’s more fecal material for the media fan.
Where are the GOP legislators in Congress on this issue? Have any of them said a word about this Bill? Do they care? My guess is that it will amount to nothing and that is why nobody on Right is saying/doing anything.
Rolling Thunder would be a great group to organize the DC march. Any other suggestions?
Finding a day when Congress is actually in DC working is the hard part. Politicians in DC need to be fired starting in 2018. Help President Trump drain the bottom feeders out of the DC swamp. How about a daily thread highlighting each and every one of the corrupt hacks who need to go.
Congress cannot appoint a committee to do this.
It could be done through "such other body as Congress shall by law provide".
Congress cannot make laws. Laws need to be signed by the President.
Someone will be educated, but it won’t be us.
That’s for damn sure.
