What if Republican voters who dont particularly like
President Donald Trump the Republican Party are also able to compartmentalize their votes? What if they dislike Democrats more than they do the
president Republican Party?
Fixed it.

Exactamundo. I've read a few articles along the lines of, conservatives-are-selling-out-in-order-to-support-Donald-Trump. Guess what? The Great Society failed, but the Republican establishment and, yes, the conservative movement, have failed to reverse the Great Society. So, why should we oppose Trump on the grounds of, say, “Trump hasn't declared that he will undo the Great Society”...when we know NO ONE can?

More garbage from National Review. Trump is the reason the GOP still
controls both The House and Senate.

Stupid #nevertrumpers. Trump is more popular than the Republican Party. The question is whether the party will sink Trump.

The party will not sink, but should throw RINOs overboard; they are deadweight, stuck in the mud. Some of them are human sandbars.

Folks, Donald Trump is very unpopular--and also very popular. He is the epitome of a divisive figure. And I have made my peace with that because I have come to loathe his enemies so much. I really don't give a flying fornication what the jack-booted shrieking leftist jerkoffs (including many personal acquaintances) or the die-hard Never Trumpers (more of my acquaintances) have to say anymore about The Donald. They are so blinded by their personal disgust that they can't see what is plain for anyone paying attention.
The Donald is not my cup of tea-- I find his style and temperament to be grating. But it is obvious that he is smart, tough, and knows how to win. And on a policy level, I like what he is doing. He has done better on policy so far than I would have expected when I realized (Nov. 2015) that he was going to win the GOP nomination and probably the Presidency.
My realization had a simple basis really. Presidential politics is blood sport--and the GOP nomination process is gladiatorial combat in an arena festooned with command-detonated IED's under Lamestream Media control. Ergo, the toughest, most vicious predator in the jungle was what was needed to defeat Hildebeast and her legions of flying monkeys, clueless rich liberal women, and stupid Snowflakes.
And I have another observation that I will share for the benefit of the seditious Deep State types out there-- I have noticed that people who f**k with The Donald usually end up regretting it.
