When 22-year-old American student Otto Warmbier was released from North Korean captivity last week after being held as a war criminal for 17-months, his family praised President Trump for getting him out.
"When Otto was first taken we were advised by the past administration to take a low profile while they worked to obtain his release. We did so without result," Otto's father, Fred Warmbier, said during a press conference in Ohio last week. "Earlier this year, Cindy and I decided the time for strategic patience was over. It is my understanding that Ambassador Yun and his team, at the direction of the president, aggressively pursued resolution of the situation."
"I think the results speak for themselves," he continued.
Speaking from the White House Monday night, President Trump announced Otto had died after coming home from North Korea in a coma. The regime claims he went into a coma after taking a sleeping pill and experiencing botulism. American doctors who examined him upon arrival said there was no evidence of those claims and that Otto had suffered severe brain damage, possibly due to a traumatic injury.
I just want to pass on the word that Otto Warmbier has just passed away. He spent a year and a half in North Korea. A lot of bad things happened," Trump said. "But at least we got him home to be with his parents where they were so happy to see him even though he was in very tough condition. But he just passed away a little while ago."
He also implied there will be consequences for what the regime has done.
"It is a brutal regime and well be able to handle it, he continued.
Warmbier's parents describe Otto's captivity as brutal and extremely inhumane. The North Korean regime is still holding three American citizens hostage.
"On behalf of the entire State Department and the United States government, I extend my condolences to the Warmbier family, and offer my prayers as they enter a time of grief no parent should ever know," Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said in a statement. "We hold North Korea accountable for Otto Warmbiers unjust imprisonment, and demand the release of three other Americans who have been illegally detained."
The high NK elite have kids studying at cushy academies overseas.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I am sure we can play the odds on that.
Snatch, grab and trade.
What would be the point of that aside from pure torture?
I mean, I think he ultimately died of some form of torture, but was this really a bad B-movie where they think some college kid is a spy?
Nuke? Why, when we can be far more strategic than that?
What if the children of NK’s elites now studying overseas suddenly all just — vanish?
What if backchannel communication to NK predicates their unharmed return upon unconditional, unharmed release of every American currently in North Korea ALONG WITH a $10M “tribute” payment earmarked for the family of Otto Warmbier?
What if Uncle Sam actually not just grows, but SHOWS a robust pair, and puts a brawny set of knuckles right in North Korea’s face and demands to know, “WHAT NOW, HUH?!! WHAT NOW??!! WHADDYA GOT, PRICK??!!”
What if we start picking off military installations in North Korea one-an-hour for 24 hours? And if the Chinese or Russians call us on it just say, “YUP! That’s us, and we’re not stopping until that dog comes to heel. Enjoy the show, ‘cuz it means he won’t be a pain in YOUR asses, anymore, either.” Yeah, on the news China and Russia would express outrage. Off-camera they’d be wearing brand new red MAGA hats.
He brought it upon HIMSELF. I would not go to BALTIMORE, Or Englewood Cali. or Watts,or Detroit, let alone to the NORKS. And thank GOD You are not in control of ANYTHING!
Mr. Donald...prove yourself now!
What we need is a totally revamped CIA...like the old days That fat Korean turd would fall over from a “heart attack”...pronto!
Please not blame the victim...he was just a brain-washed kid from a liberal family. Please let it be a warning to other brainwashed lib parents...do not pay to send your kids to enemy countries! Where is the benefit in That?
We just went through a ‘close call’ between the United States and North Korea a few weeks ago. Nothing happened from either side. The sabers were rattling a lot louder then compared to now.
What about those three hostages, though?
What about the heavy gunnery pointed at Seoul, South Korea?
I’ve read that he has doubles.
What is taxpayer money and government for if not to protect its citizens? No matter how stupid our decisions are some times, the full force and might of the American government should have our backs.
I, unfortunately, saw Marie Harff (sp?)on TV (Fox News) this morning begging profusely for us to believe the Obama administration did all they could to get Otto home. I call BS. If our State Department can’t protect or rescue American citizens, dissolve the State Department and come up with an agency that can. That would be taxpayer money well spent!
>>So in other words the bowing faggot told the family to shut the hell up and went back to his #1 priority - getting terrorists released from Gitmo.
It is astounding how millions of American voters who are fully aware of the evil that the Democrat party foisted upon the country in 2008 and again in 2012 can continue to faithfully support the politicians of that criminal organization.
>>And here I thought his #1 priority was getting men in the ladies room...
No that travesty was just one of many nails he was using to construct the scaffold for our country.
>>I understand. The entire state of California is labeled a liberal bastion of fruits and nuts, when in reality its only LA and San Fran that deserve those labels. Most of the rest of the state is red.
Speaking of red states, I may be a bit off on these figures, but as I recall there are 3,112 counties in the U.S., and some 2,600 of them were won by DJT.
