I was there when the F-111s and EF-111s were there. Cannon AFB could boast that there was a pretty girl behind every tree...
And a 6 hour drive in any direction would get you somewhere nice...
I am going to market her slobber. It’s a multipurpose organic adhesive.
LOL I aint buying. Its FREE!

She only slobbers when we are out and there are other dogs around. (Thank Goodness she doesn’t do it indoors!)
It’s so funny...they are like two long strings on each side of her mouth, and when she tries to shake her head to dislodge them, they wrap around her snout like twine.
Hi Kathy!
Today is my FReeper Anniversary!
Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
My daughter is currently stationed there. Soon to be transferring to Hulbert Field. She’s ground crew for C-130’s.
Strangely enough, my wife and I just got back from dinner with her. She and some co workers were in town for some training at Little Creek.
Cool...Named after the Cinematic Classic, I presume.
G’nite!
Chuck Yeager cracked me up.
His oxygen suit is on fire and he’s over the speed of sound He radios in and says “there’s a small problem thats obscuring my view of Mt Baldy we all love so well”

Perfect gift from a perfectly darling little gal! :)
How wuz your weekend?
Son and I hung out all day yesterday, had Mexican lunch at an awesome restaurant and then enjoyed the A/C and watched a movie and enjoyed each other's company.
You and the kittehs/kittens doing OK?
Yes, but there was only seven trees.
I went there for a few days to look at some of the big expansion they did across the main flight-line in 2011 through 2014. It was an interesting trip.
First of all, I really liked Clovis for a middle of no where town 90 minutes west of Lubbock. It was a big enough town twenty minutes away from the base and not entirely dependent on the base.
The base was another matter. First of all, my opinion was clouded as all the projects underway were on the far side of the flight line from everything on the base. So the government decides they are going to build 400 million in six hanger and ops buildings on the side of the flight line with no electricity, roads, telephone, com or anything. So not only do you have to build all the infrastructure as part of the project, you have none of those things to power your temporary facilities. Can you imagine having a 75 million dollar project you are trying to build with 400 people and you are working for two years off cell phones and generators.
They had an old busted up gal and six new hires running the Corps of Engineers office. When there was part of the plans or specs that needed clarification to bid the project economically her attitude was she couldn’t be bothered, “just bid it as you see it.” That meant you were screwed just put a lot of money in your bid.
Building huge hangers is tricky when everyday is a 20 to 40 mph dirt-storm. Its kind of hard to roof something 120 feet in the air and stay on schedule when you can only work one of two days a week due to safety concerns. Overall after talking to some of the builders already there trying to work, I said, NO THANKS.
Allsups, home the greasy burrito
Its exceptional
