An attorney for President Trump was adamant on Sunday that the president is not under investigation, despite the president’s tweets this week referring to one as a "witch hunt."
“Let me be clear here,” said Jay Sekulow, a member of the president’s legal team, on NBC's “Meet The Press.” “The president is not and has not been under investigation for obstruction."
On Friday morning, President Trump sent a tweet that seemed to confirm that he was under scrutiny, writing, “I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt.”
But Sekulow claimed the president wasn’t referring to an actual investigation in the message, but instead a news report about one.
“The tweet from the president was in response to the five anonymous sources purportedly leaking info to the Washington Post,” he said, referring to the Post’s report this week that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the election, now also includes a look at whether President Trump attempted to obstruct justice.
“He's not afraid of the investigation — there is no investigation,” Sekulow said, adding, “there is not an investigation of the President of the United States, period.”
Sekulow on Sunday also acknowledged that the president was “fully aware that if in fact he took this action, he would see a lengthening" of the amount of time it would take to get through the Russia investigation if James Comey was removed as FBI director, but still decided to move forward with firing Comey because he "thought it was in the best interest of the American people."
Also on Sunday's “Meet The Press,” Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla, noted that “one thing we’ve learned from the testimony of multiple people now is the president is pretty fired up about this" and doesn't believe that he did anything wrong. The president “wants people to say that," he said.
Rubio is a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is doing its own probe into Russian election interference. He maintained that the president’s actions won’t prevent any of the investigations from proceeding, and that getting to the bottom of what happened would benefit all involved, including President Trump.
“This is is going to move forward,” he said. “We are going to get the full truth out there. I believe this is the thing that could happen for the president.”

The Constitution gives the president the right to fire Comey for ANY reason or NO reason. He serves at the president’s pleaure. This is just another attempt to cut the presidential powers under Trump exactly like the blockage of his so called “Travel Ban.” If we don’t stop this war of the left, we will not have a Constitution left!
The election was hacked? What single piece of evidence even gives your claim credence? I'm still waiting for a network trace, voting machine irregularity, fake ballots or some other simple piece of evidence from anyone.

Wallace asked if Trump thought “Rosenstein has done anything wrong.” Sekulow answered, then went on with his “constitutional threshold question” hypothesis which includes the assumption of Trump being “under investigation”.
You say those words to any leftist and we are off to the races. Wallace was instantly unhinged and didn’t collect himself until the end of the interview.

You’re right...it’s why these huge crowds that would show up for a Trump rally should have been going to these GOP town halls and crowd out the bussed-in liberals who overtake them and create an environment making it look like the whole country has turned against the GOP agenda, and creates a good bit of material for the news media to report the same - that the country has turned against the GOP and they must reverse course and adopt liberal policies that the country supposedly demands. If these town halls were filled with people asking legitimate questions for legitimate discussion, plus those demanding tax reform, Obamacare repeal, etc. none of those news stories could have materialized...they of course wouldn’t have reported on them at all if the crowds were demanding the opposite, but at least we would not have the deluge of additional negative news stories and the Congressmen may have felt like their constituents had their backs instead of hostility on moving forward with those issues.
Rubio was obviously very grateful for what Trump did on Cuba policy - he was tearing up as Trump was signing the order and especially after it was signed, then Trump in a great gesture handed him the first pen used to sign it, then handed him the copy of the order.link to video.

We must examine what Trump means by "investigation". It is good to push Muller to a decision while making the RATs heads explode.

His comments don’t sound supportive of Trump to me. He says the investigations must continue. He also says “Trump wants people to say” that Trump doesn’t believe he’s done anything wrong. Notice, Marco doesn’t say that MARCO thinks Trump is innocent, only that Trump wants people to say he’s innocent.
Marco is owned by the big donors, and the big donors want Trump out.
