Rep. Ted Lieu: If Trump fired Rosenstein and Mueller, "I believe Congress would begin impeachment proceedings." https://t.co/lqJ0JTg1l6 — Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) June 17, 2017

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) said Friday that Congress would come together and “begin impeachment proceedings” against President Trump if he fired special counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

“All Americans, regardless of party, agree on the fundamental principle that no one is above the law,” Lieu said on MSNBC. “And if President Trump were to fire Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein, and then [get] special counsel Mueller fired, I believe Congress would begin impeachment proceedings.”

stopping twitter is not being weak and mild. The twitter box shows he’s a fighter? It shows he knows how to complain.. but nothing is done about it.

He showed so much grit and fight in the campaign ... but he isn’t fighting the left now.. he’s letting them run the wagon. Ya have to step out and call their bluff at this point. The complaining was defending and he didn’t need to defend, he needed to confront and fight them. He has managed to egg them on by not going after the jugular at first sign of their dirty tricks.

And let’s not get into a dem mode and fight on here.. we all are stating our opinions.

Even talking about this or thinking about this is a waist of time. Mark Sanford would probably vote for it. That would mean 24 other Republicans would have to vote for impeachment to make it happen. Can anyone name one other who would vote for impeachment? The Republican know they would be turned out of office for voting impeachment where the “high crime and misdemeanor” was Trump’s exercising his Constitutional powers. I doubt if more than 180 Democrats would vote for a flimsy bill of impeachment. As I said - a waist of time. Those who keep talking about impeachment are smoking crack.

I could be wrong, but my best guess is that president has quietly been attaining information to blow this out of the water in the event that impeachment occurs...he is sitting back while all is just talk at this point...

Trump is no fool...IMO, it would cause thing to drag on and on and on if he were to fight back at this time while it is only speculation that the UNIPARTY is going to do something...

If it does happen, I believe he has enough stored to totally wipe this whole thing away...

I firmly believe this would all “go away” if President Trump put the twitter box down...

For whatever reason, it appears President Trump lacks the discipline to just stop fighting with everyone and do what needs to be done...

If he would just start acting Presidential and be “so boring you won’t believe it” like he said he could be ..

I disagree with your statements above. I fear you are falling for the left’s narrative. They want him to stop using Twitter because it is so effective. There’s no media to distort his message. He is being attacked by literally everyone. You want him to just sit back and let the media lie and say terrible things him every day? How did that work out for George W. Bush? He never defended himself. They pummeled him to about a 30% approval rating when he left office. Let Trump be Trump. His instincts and willingness to fight back are to be admired in my view. That why he was elected. Don’t mess with a proven winning formula.

No one is above the law, Lieu?

What about Barack Hussein Obama, Billy Clinton, Hillary Rotten Clinton, Lieu, you clueless loser?

Adam Shiff....Ted Lieu....Kamala Harris....Diane Feinstein.
These Californicated moonbats should worry about the threat of North Korea nuking California instead of trying to overturn the results of the election. If that attack were to happen, they can kiss a big chunk of those 55 electoral college votes goodbye.

Really, scumbag? Not Barry, Hillary or Lynch? Do it, see what happens.

If I were Trump I would call in Rosenstein, Mueller, Sessions and Brand.

I would then ask Mueller if Comey had any impact on his job? If the answer is yes (how can it be otherwise?) I would ask his reasons for not recusing.

I would then ask Rosenstein if Comey’s relationship to Mueller could be a conflict of interest? If yes, then when isn’t Mueller recusing in keeping with the lead of Sessions?

All being said, I would put Brand in charge telling her to err on the side of following the law.

“...Call their bluff...”

Agree. Call their bluff and get this out of the way by firing Mueller and Rosenstein ASAP.

Bring it on! Impeach him. Then we will see what his supporters are made of. Whether they will rise as one and fight or docilely wait to be marched into the camps.

I wish to submit my august opinion...I have a sense that some are selling the President short. Granted he has done some things better not done due to haste and some inexperience. But he has also done some things right. Take for instance his disarming of and dispatching of the FBI Director. Done in a bloodless fashion and in such a way that Mr. FBI is disarmed and on the defensive. The President is a combat veteran of some very brutal fights in NYC; and as such is a capable warrior.

This is not over, not even close to it. It won’t be over until The Donald says it’s over.

And when he does, it’s a lock that we will all hear it.

Rig for silent running. In hoc signo vinces.

Bullshit! That is a lie he did not have to tell. Hillary Clinton running footloose and fancy free is proof that some individuals are above the law.

Will people have his back if he continues on course of amnesty, no wall, and all? At some point people will say it is not worth it. He has rolled on Obamacare and taxes, leaving those in the hands of neverTrumpers like Ryan, he has left Obama and neverTrumpers in positions to stab him in the back. I know a lot of people that see illegal immigration as the sole defining point and Trump has failed.... still giving amnesty, no weekly report on immigrant violence, no concrete visible progress on wall, not even funding, can’t get immigration border controls in place, and his own officials and RINOs like Ryan keep telling illegals to rest easy. He has continued funding of H1B and done little on sanctuary cities, all talk, no concrete action. Blame these on others but end of day, Trump is the president.
