The Oakland Police Force should quit, en masse. Let those citizens, who voted to have ex-cons ride herd on the cops, do the policing in Oakland themselves. I am totally fed up with the ‘evil is good and good is evil’ attitude.

I’d quit. Good cops can always find another job in LE elsewhere. At least I hope so, for their sake.

Do members of the Oakland Police Commission have access to officers’ PII, such as home address, contact info, family members?

This is really the world turned upside down. California needs to be put in a straight jacket and in a padded room. That wretched state just can’t be saved at this point.

"Former cops need not apply, but former inmates are being encouraged by the city of Oakland to apply for slots on the citys new police commission."
They'll have trouble keeping the seats on the commission filled since most of them will end up back behind bars. Plus, if the commission meets early in the morning, the ex-cons won't be up to attend. I don't see this policy lasting very long.

They can always apply to the Border Patrol.
