Forbes is reporting that Jennifer Lawrence's survived her private jet performing an emergency landing after losing both its engines. Yikes!

JLaw's plane, which departed from her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, lost one of its engines at 31,000 feet. The pilot decided to make an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York, but then things got even scarier when the second engine shut down.

I’m glad the crew made it back safely, and the plane wasn’t damaged.

Don’t tell me, let me guess, the pilot was Harrison Ford.

"I can't find any report on the type of plane...which seems like the first logical question. I can't even find a report on her intended destination, other than a statement that her destination was 'unclear'...surely the pilot filed a flight plan?"

Destination was NJ, plane was BE40, flight plan is here.

This pilot had some mad skillz to make the bank shot for the BUF runway with no engines...

Per this ABC link:

http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/video/frightening-moments-aboard-private-jet-oscar-winner-jennifer-47974912 It was headed to NJ, and was a 'Beechcraft Jet'. The graphic looks like a Beechcraft 400 type. Story also said she had 1 passenger. Not a huge plane...but she's never gonna save the planet shuttling around in this jet.

Air Transat 236 ran out of gas on the way from Toronto to Portugal...

Yup,I remember seeing a documentary about that incident.Another one I forgot to mention was a British Airways 747 that, some time in the early 1980's,had all 4 engines shut down after having flown through volcanic ash...which caused the engines to seize up.I remember seeing a report that passengers were kneeling in the aisles praying during that crisis.

"The pilot’s skill is the real story."

Or the mechanic's bad day.

I certainly hope she did not have to fly in coach with all the common folks to continue her trip to Teterboro, NJ.(NYC). They probably fly in another private jet for her.

Going to New Jersey is bad enough...getting diverted to Buffalo is so un-Hollywood. I hope she perseveres.

2 engines out usually equals fuel problems - either bad fuel, or no fuel. We will watch with interests this plays out.

Glad all were uninjured.
