Sen. Chuck Schumer on Sunday invited President Trump to testify before Congress, taking the president up on his statement that he’s “100 percent” willing to speak under oath about his interactions with fired FBI Director James Comey.
“I’d like to invite the president to testify before the Senate,” the top Senate Democrat said on CBS News’ “Face the Nation.”
Schumer, D-N.Y., acknowledged he and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., would have to confer with special counsel Robert Mueller, but insisted such testimony could be done in a “dignified” way.
Schumer suggested that testifying could help clear the “cloud” hanging over the administration with regard to the Russia probe.

Trump should merely dismiss the special counsel at this point unless he refuses himself. Go on national TV and lay out his case against the deep state coup.
Why wait for him to testify? Schumer can ask any question he wants of DJT in the public media. If the past is any guide, he will probably give an answer by means of Twitter, or in some other public way.
Need to careen the hull in 2018 again. Primary the duds, hopefully Ratface Ryan as well. Have enough conservatives in that Ratface needs to go drinking with Boehner.

Pres. Trump possibly could appear in a closed door session of the House committee, but never an open session and certainly never with the snakes in the Senate. They simply want TV time to provide entertainment for Antifa & the Democrats as Schumer & his gang of losers attack the president.
Nope, this is simply a trap to build a case for impeachment, which does not require any laws to be broken. Never believe an opposing lawyer who says “you can trust me”. There is NO penalty for Schumer lying. Never forget this is the same Schumer who has personally intervened to prevent Congress from funding a program to restore 2A rights to petitioners. If Trump goes there, there will be plenty of willing “witnesses” before and after, complete with their 30 pieces of silver in pocket, prepared to lie and destroy this Presidency.

No way he should agree to this. He is a part of a separate branch of the government; and every president after him will be weakened

We do NOT have a parliamentary system where the assembly can vote “no confidence” and change the prime minister.
We have an executive system.
He should remain aloof and apart as the chief prosecutor in the nation;
NOT merely another “member of the house”.
Let the members of Congress testify under oath about their own dealings with Russia, child porn, drugs, etc., if they really want an investigation.
