Yes watching the UK press reporting exit polling data, let alone us citizens biting their nails over them, is nonsense... You think US polling was bad last election cycle? U.K. Exit polling is atrocious... Every election cycle they report labor is looking at big gains and then walk it back later in the night as real results come in.
It’s nearly as reliable as the sun coming up... We will see how this plays out, but the teeth gnashing is a bit silly in my mind.

If you’ve got a clear majority and no major issues, it can be a good thing to call an election early. It can work out for you.
In this instance, Brexit was sure to become the referendum issue of the day.
