As an American, this is the first time I've ever seen British election results being covered on British TV live, in this case on SkyNews (which is owned, IIRC, by the Murdoch family).

One thing jumps out at me immediately: the anchors are cheerleading for the leftist parties! Reminds me of how just about all the "mainstream" American networks (with the possible exception of a few reporters on FOX) do the same for the Dummycrats on election night here.

I hope may keeps a clear majority, but who knows.

It baffles my why she called this election. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.

If you’ve got a clear majority and no major issues, it can be a good thing to call an election early. It can work out for you.

In this instance, Brexit was sure to become the referendum issue of the day.

Just plain dumb, unless I’m not catching on to some other over-riding drivers.
